put a set of 1157-LX3 Luxeon LED bulb Super Bright 3 Watt LED 12VDC replacement bulb15mm Dual Intensity Bayonet Base Super Wide 130 Degree Viewing AngleBrightest LED Tail Light bulb on the market - BRIGHTER THAN MOST STOCK TAIL LAMP BULBS!Select White, Red or Amber LED from
http://www.superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htm.They are brighter than the stock blinker bulbs like they say. I also put a 50W load resistor in to keep the flash rate the same. They should run much cooler and not burn the lens cover. I run them with a DRL node to keep them on when the headlights are off.

I looked into these, but by installing LED's in the same housing as your Headlight, you are voiding the warranty that superbirghtleds.com gives you. I am goign with the monochrome bulbs for the front of my car to get that cleaner look. From superbight website:Warranty Information Do not use LED bulbs in the same housing with head lamps, the heat will cause them to fail quickly and void the warranty. We warrant all of our bulbs for one full year when if used in normal vehicle applications. We do not warrant our car bulbs when used in applications other than normal vehicle bulb installations or if used in headlamp housings or to replace GM Day Time Running lights Some GM vehicles apply a pulsed voltage to the Day Time Running lights (DTR), this pulsed voltage causes LED bulbs to fail quickly, just as the stock filament bulbs also fail quickly in these DTR installations. Use in these applications voids the warranty.I am getting my LED's from this sitehttp://
www.frickinbrite.com/catalog/Going with their SMT 168 bulb for the liscense plate lights, SMT 921 red for the high mount, SMT 921 white for the reverse lights, 7440/7443 24 LED refractor in red for the Stop signal (dual intensity) and 7440 Amber 24 LED refractor for Rear turn signal.I was considering gogin with their SMT 24 LED for the tails and turns, but those are pricey. Also instead of buying and placing load resistors in line for each set of bulbs, just replace your flasher. The site above makes a replacement for the Toyota Matrix flasher (not sure if it is the same for the VIBE) but they do carry a wide assortment of flashers.

Also you can look at adding a set of fogs for your DRL's cause the site I posted above has LED's that attach to 9006 housings

Sorry to here that man, I know thsoe can be pricey. You may just want to get those monochrome bulbs (about 10-15 a pair at autozone) and it will at least take away that ugly yellow bulb look.
