im sure the new civis si would be over his 27000 range..would probably be in the low to mid 30,000...the corolla/camry are quiet nice cars and great on gas..it depends on what you're looking for..performance..gas milage..cargo/cabin space..i upgraded from my sunfire to the vibe for all of the above really..but mainly the gas milage and it was manual

lol low-mid 30k for a civic SI? It starts out at at $21k and is right under $27k fully loaded. If a Civic was 30k it wouldn't sell. They sell because they are cheap and reliable cars.

ya well you gotta remember im in canada so the prices are more up here then it is down there and maybe it wont be that much..but still..it'll be around 30K for a fully loaded si sedan up here..hell we dont even get the si sedan and i dont know if we ever would get it up here

$27,000 can get you a nice fully loaded turbo Subaru WRX Limited or a used 2005-2006 Subaru Legacy GT... We're talking power windows, locks, 5 star crash rating, decent fuel economy, cruise, leather/heater/power seats. side curtain air bags, sunroof. plus the security of awd.

that will get you a completely loaded Legacy GT with leather, sunroof, heated seats, 5MT (or AT), full time AWD and 250/250 hp/tq stock. and as Mav mentioned, 5 star crash test ratings and 6 airbags standard.

basically it must be a V6, 4door sedan. i didnt know the G8 can be a V6? i thought thats why its a G8? hummm......maybe ill take one of those;)

Why V6? You can get the same power of a V6 from a cheap turbo inline 4 and alot better gas milage. If it has to be a V6 then get a base Chrystler 300 or a deal on an Acura TL

a stock legacy GT flat 4 cyl turbo charged engine can get 30mpg easy. even if the window sticker says otherwise.

i used to think i needed a V6 vs a 4Cyl. but i'll take my turbo'd 4 banger over a V6 any day. i love playing with the 6 and 8 cyl cars and trucks at the track. sure, i'm not gonna keep up with the pure muscle machine dragsters, however, when you get the street cars, GTO's, Evo's, and the like out, it's a lot of fun when they don't expect my family sedan to be just as quick or quicker!

I voted and then decided I should suggest a new vehicle. I suggest an Impala SS. You should be able to get one for $27k (GM supplier price) that would give you a V8, with Active Fuel Management and is rated at 29 mpg highway.

Well news flash the SI hondas are not that expensive i was in a si the other day and it was 23 loaded to the teeth with options. Also kep in mind when all you G6 and G8 buyers go to trade it in you will be crying the blues see what the trade in vaule of them compared to a honda is, plus just drive them you will go along way to find a quicker more nimble car and very much a quailty peice, plus they spin 8,000 rpms who can hate that. For the money the SI is way up there on my list maybe only second to a speed 3 mazda,

I'd like to suggest that you stay in the family fold, but I'm getting hooked on the Subaru line of stuff.Maybe when the missus gets rid of her Saturn wagon, we'll look at one of the Subies.I like the AWD idea, and the horsepower too.If they could just get a little more style with the lower end models, some of them seem a little bland. And maybe re-design that hood scoop thing, to me, it just looks wrong, like some kind of weird alien nostril.ps MAVERICK and AKLGT, how are the Subies for reliability, service costs and that kind of stuff?

I am so disappointed that the VW Golf isn't in that list...the TDI model should be available again soon and the 2.0 liter Turbo is also a Blast to drive. My Ex-Girlfriend got into two major accidents with it and with the cage and the curtain airbags walked away both times...soooo add the VW to the poll so I can vote for it please.
