A couple days short of 5 years...

... and my Vibe has been traded. It was a couple days shy of being 5 years old (7/2002), but it had treated me well. Here is a good pic (from my Garage page). The new ride is below the Vibe.> Pic 2> Pic 3> Pic 4 2004 BMW 530i (certified pre-owned)Couldn't pass it up, very low miles (17,000) turned in from a 3-year lease, almost like new, interior still smells fresh! It was tough turning-in the Vibe, but it had treated me well. May pick up a used Vibe sometime next year just for the utility purposes, MPG, etc.. (I'm going to miss that). I've been driving my mom's 528 for a few months whenever I stopped over so that helped, but I've always been a BMW fan. Great ride, handling is superb across the line... I'm still sticking around GVC, so no worries there. I'm a GVC-junkie at heart and always will be! Feel free to call me a traitor... but who knows, it may not last too too long. I've got plenty of pics from over the years to keep it in my memories.

Okay seriously who would blame you for trading it in for a BMW!? I'd do it! Very nice indeed.

LOLThey took the Vibe pretty much as I had it (they really liked it), and I got more than I had wanted for it even with the couple mods invested, so it was hard to pass up. I just took out my aftermarket radio, sat. radio, and bazooka tube and put the factory deck back in. I was out at the dealer a week later and it was already prepped and for sale... it was sad.

Quote, originally posted by ragingfish »care to share what they gave you for it?I got 7k for the Vibe, considering the condition (this happened to it), miles, etc. It's just about the right trade-in value when comparing online (I was expecting less from past experiences).I did have an opportunity to keep the Vibe in the family (selling to my step-brother) but he was looking for something with 4WD. Too bad.

Quote, originally posted by joatmon »what mods do you plan for the beemer?Good question. Endless possibilities for the 5-series, but that also means $$$$. I'll probably give it a year before I do anything major. Looking into adding the SIRIUS tuner to the system (I believe it is pre-wired) and window tint.

Holy schnikes! That's a very nice looking car, Nick! Congrats on it. Your Vibe still ranks as the nicest Vibe I've ever seen, whoever ends up with that truly has a gem. I'm sure the BMW will be equally cared for. You'd better be sticking around. P.S. the wheels look fine.

Forgot to add... Just be ready for all the ignorant people with their comments such "as how much does he make?" And "must be nice!" I hear these all the time with my Corvette. The fact of the matter is, it is no ones business how I got my car. And more over, it is 9 years old but to some, they just see Corvette and think I am rich! I just tell these idiots, your daily driver probably cost more then I paid for my Corvette! It is just sad these moron's say things like this, takes the joy out of it at times. I worked hard to get were I am but jealous people are all over! Enjoy your ride and throw $20 bills out of the window!

I would not want to be tempted with a late model BMW 5 series - what I don't know/experience won't hurt me or my pocketbook.
