That is awful and nothing will make it right...playing devil's advocate here, I suppose it is possible that the women themselves weren't aware it was a bogus 50...I don't inspect my bills very often, but then again I don't carry 50's very often.

i have to respectfully disagree that the women didn't realize they had a fake $50. having worked in banking and retail for a gazillion years, i've seen people try to pull the same thing over on me and fellow co-workers with varying degrees of success. they knew they couldn't pass the bill off at a bank or even a restaurant so they got lucky and stumbled on these poor unsuspecting kids. the kids are just lucky they didn't have enough change to give them in the first place cuz they'd be out even more. also, if they didn't know it was fake, would they have just told the gals "keep the change?" i think not.have their dad make them a sign stating "no bills larger than $20" while they're at it.

I was just saying it's not outside the realm of possibility - not that that is what actually happened...I've received a fake 10 before and didn't know it until I tried to use it...ish happens...it is reprehensible, but not everything is intentional...
