Nice car, I test drove a Focus before I bought the Vibe, I thought it drove very nice, but was too small inside for the kids and dogs. Have fun with it.

Congrats on the new car, but why the downgrade? Your Vibe would walk all over that.

It was the closest thing I could find comparable to the Vibe GT...besides I own a Ford Lincoln Mercury Dealership...The SVT is a Demo for me...so it didnt cost me anything...I drive it on a dealer plate...It does however handle much better than the vibe....

Or better yet the Focus RS WRC.... hehe...UKDM Focus RS article:http://www.caranddriver.com/ca....html

Or a Focus. But to each his own. Glad you liked the Vibe, hope you like the Focus. Did you sell the Vibe off your lot, or privately? How much did you get for it?and most importantly, did you tell the new owner about genvibe?

The new owner of your GT is gonna love it, I'm sure.

Alright... you know, not everyone loves the Focus. Not everyone loves all members here. But I'm really ashamed of the way this thread has gone. Who cares if we saw pictures of everything, who cares what dealership he works at. If you don't have something to say about the Focus and can't say it constructively go post in another thread.

It's all relevant, man.It seems the guy is creating a lot of stories and people are just pointing out some facts. There's no point in talking about this kid's 'new car' when he is probably lying about it.

No, actually it's not relevant and it's not open for discussion. Flaming is one thing we definitely do not tolerate around Genvibe. No questions about it. If someone's full of it, that's their problem. We're not hosting the kind of hostile environment found elsewhere where three pages of a thread can be dedicated to telling that person off. If you just stop paying attention to them, they go away. That's how it works.

Great Day Everyone...ok let me set the record straight...I did work for a Pontiac Dealer...actually...it was Cadillac Pontiac and GMC Trucks...worked there for 3 year...only after leaving the Ford Dealer I work for again...I worked selling Ford at Park City Ford in Bridgeport CT for 11 yrs...I owned 24 % in the place...basically minority shareholder...meaning I had no say in what happened around the store...bottom line...I got fed up...I left...went out on my own...In August of 2006 my uncle who owns 25% of the dealership offered me a job to come back to Ford...basically made me a offer to good to refuse...My uncle and I then borrowed every penny we could and bought out the dealer principal at 51%...now I own 49% and my uncle 51...so thats the story on the move....as far as my vibe goes...I loved that car...I miss that car...the SVT is fun but no where near as fun as my vibe...The Vibe was a sleeper....the SVT isnt....as far as the mods went...I assure I did everything I said I did...with the dealership purchase I just didnt have the time to take pictures and post them and get a dyno done....I am sorry to everyone for that....but I do have the 2 speeding tickets I got....the car was stupid fast....not as fast as my ZR-1....but I could never match 32 valve V8 Torque in a 4 cyc....Before I sold the vibe I took out the Navigation and Audio system...I took out the NOS....and I took out the Laser Diffuser....I left everything else in the car....I sold it for 11900 with 73k on the car....I sold it to the son of a guy that works at my dealership....So far the car is still in one piece....I didnt take offensive to anyone's comments Millster but thanks for sticking up for me...I know we have had our difference's in the past....I did drive 1000 miles to come to a vibe event a couple of summers ago....and had a great time...I appreciate everyones comments and I will post some pic's of my new ride when I get a chance to breath...Thanks to all and to all a good night....

A lot of it is tone. reasonable and mature to say that you won't believe his claims about Vibe mods until actually shown, but the replies here were much more hostile, where he was called a liar and full of crap. Relatively atypical for this place. We are usually friendlier than that. Been a couple incidients of piling on lately. Lighten up folksNItrovibegt, good luck with the dealership. There are some Ford haters here, but that is to be expected, lots of brand fans and antifans for any brand. I see large amounts of Mustangs, Focuses (Foci?), rangers, F150s, etc on the roads around here, so people are buying them. Hope you can get some of the loans paid off quickly. Big step moving to major owner, I'm sure you'll have to deal with aspects of the auto industry most of us would never think of. Make sure your service department provides the level of customer service you would want as a car owner, that seems to have a profound impact on a customer's opinion of a dealership.Any insider views of the differences between the Cadillac/Potiac/GM dealership and the ford dealership?

All i got to say is I WOULD LOVE TO OWN A DEALERSHIP..!!!!Now, on the flip side to that I HATE DEALERSHIPS.... Odd, isn't it.... The big problem with dealership is the incontinuities in service departments and/or sales... I absoulty cannot stand how some people get treated (me amung them at some points) at the service counter... I know that main purpose is to MAKE money, you wouldn't be doing it if you were doing it for free... At the same time, there is just so many people that are getting taken advantage of (who was it that put desiel in thier Vibe a few weeks ago?) I personaly have always wanted to own a dealership, completely populated by women, from top to bottom.... Sales, service and techs, all women as it seems to be the biggest problem with women getting taken... Now, understand i'm not directing any of this "toward" you or in any way saying that you are the slightest bit shady in your particular practices, but, in general i call dealerships "stealerships" and for good reasons i can atest to.... I do hope it works out well for you man
