Hello all, another new genvibe member. Wife and I just ordered (as of 7-9-07) a new '08 Vibe, Frosty, Sport Package, Premium Package, Preferred Package, ABS, Moon & Tunes w/6 disc changer. Can hardly wait for it to show up!A little about myself. I am an admin on another board ( http://www.BPGforums.com ) and a supermod on another ( http://www.v8buick.com ). I have LOTS of Buicks, everything from a 1970 GSX to a 1987 GNX. The only other Pontiac I have is a 2006 GTO in Torrid Red with a 6 speed. That car will get you in trouble REAL FAST.Anyway, thanks in advance for making me feel welcome and I hope to contribute to the group in some way. PS: Would be nice if the guy who works at NUMMI can give me any info on our order sometime!!! THAT would be cool!

Thanks! I had a '75 brand new when I was a kid. That one is almost exactly like my original '75. 231 V6 with a 4 speed.

GNx now I am jealous, only two in my town that I know of, ones a Grand National though the other is a GNx. Gotta love the ladder bar that makes the rear end lift up before a launch! There is an orange 70 GSX in my town as well, daily driver for some lady actually. P.S.- what # is your GNX, I know Buick has 001.

Well, kind of a long story, but the GNX I have is a factory prototype. I bought it from a retired Buick engineer several years ago. It has an "interesting" history to say the least. It is the sole surviving prototype that Buick made. Here's a pic, added in edit.

I bow humbly in your general direction .It was neat to be interviewed by him...although they cut out about half of the total.

Quote, originally posted by Whelan »This guy just has a lot of toys Well, the old saying is boys must have toys . I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time when my "toys" came up for sale. I've owned the GSX since 1978 when it was just a used (and abused, I might add) car. I paid only $1850 for it back then and let's just say it's appreciated in value a little since that time. It took me over 10 years to save up enough for it's restoration and with kids now in college, I could never do it again today. I've been very, very lucky.BTW, the ONLY product to touch the paint of my show cars has been Meguairs products. I take pride in that my now 14 year old restoration has held up to the test of time and I believe Meguair's products were part of that reason. Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome...I only hope I can contribute to this forum to the degree you have made me feel welcome. Thanks again!
