The club's concept is amazingly innovative too! From the NYTimes article posted at the club website:Quote »VELOCITY CAR CLUBLet's be honest. Most enthusiasts who buy a really expensive sports car only drive it a few thousand miles a year, and half the time are wishing they'd bought something else. I know, kids, let's get together and form a car club! We'll buy a bunch of neat cars, and the club members can borrow one whenever they want. This is the simple premise behind Velocity of Greenwich (velocity-club.com). Lotus dealer Mark Starr, venture capitalist Chris Maybury and shipping broker Charles Mallory are the principals behind this new group. They went out and bought a Mercedes SLR McLaren, a Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Ford GT, Corvette Z06, Lotus Exige and a bunch of other exotics that most people can only imagine owning.Joining the club requires a $3,500 initiation fee and $28,500 annual duties. Trust me, this is far less than the annual depreciation on just one new exotic, and of course a fraction of what it would cost you to join a high-end golf club.In return, you get to drive any of the club cars for a combined total of 5,000 miles a year. If you live in Manhattan or somewhere else, Velocity drivers will pick you up within 25 miles of Greenwich so you can slip behind the wheel of your chosen exotic.Velocity of Greenwich works on a variety of levels. It's a bargain way for members to sample a variety of exotics. It's terrific exposure for the various exotic car manufacturers. Lotus dealer Starr gets a constant supply of low-mileage cars for his used car lot and friendly customers for his new vehicles. It's certainly a nontraditional way to sell cars.

Yeah how could you ignore the Z06? That is simply UnAmerican I tell you! It will blow the doors off some of those cars and if not, the price of it will let you upgrade it and STILL be under the price of some of those over priced cars you took pics of!

LOL I knew you would post something about the VetteIt wasnt being ignored, I just didnt take pictures of it because I see the new Z06 everywhere. Yes for the price it will waste a lot of those cars or come close, but how often do you see a 300+k car and get to stick you head inside.
