Hey guys,I'm new to the Genvibe community, but I just recently installed an aftermarket deck in my car and thought you guys might like to see it. The pics aren't the best but you will get the idea.Comments and such are appreciated.-Pantiraider

That is sweet, but WHAT is it, you never listed make or model? Also, does it have a detachable face? I mean can you take the screen with you? I would be super worried about someone nabbing it, with no good way to hide it. I may have an idea though, if the screen does happen to detach... lemme know... Oh and Welcome..

Wicked. I wish I would have gone with the fitted deck instead of the flip screen - but I'm so F'N blind at night I have to close to screen so I can see the road! This way the big brightening screen is off - but I still have face plate controls. But I much prefer the look you got there! Got to love the finger prints on the touch screens hey?! I can't keep up with it!

Yeah, sorry about that, I totally forgot to include any specs. As you can probably tell from the pics, it's a JVC. It's the KW-AVX800. It came with a lot of features and has a lot of options that you can add later.Heres's a link to the JVC info on it:
http://www.jvc.co.jp/english/c....htmlI plan on replacing my factory speakers and putting in a center speaker for 5.1 sound. I am also hoping to make two custom enclosures to replace the side panels in the trunk area to mount my sub and amps. I currently have a Kenwood 12 inch in a basic sealed box. Hopefully I will be able to get most of these mods done this summer.-Pantiraider

Oh ok... JVC, not bad man... Once again, does it detach in any way? I was thinking about making up a false faceplate using the factory HU... I've done it in the past, but only to detachable face units... It really looks like you need to hardwire in that radar detector as well...

I like it. I wanted to put something like that in mine so I could play movies, but I bought a cheapy DVD player that hooks over the seat instead. I already spent enough $ on other things like wheels, header, exhaust, 10's, deck, speakers, S/R, tint, etc. Maybe Santa will bring one when the deck accidentally breaks
