I'm leaving tonight for a vacation to Arkansas (road trip). I'm escaping the rain in TX, but looks like most of next week it will be raining in Eureka Springs. That is such a downer. I'm not going to let it ruin my fishing plans. This will be the last long vacation I'll have in a long time, since I start back in school in August to work on getting my masters, so I need to enjoy it as much as possible.I won't be taking the vibe. The Torrent will be making this trip. I hope it will do well on gas. Hopefully we won't get caught in any major rain on the way up.

vacation and Arkansas just don't seem to fit in the same sentence. But I bet there are some good rivers and lakes you can hit up. Rain makes for good fishing too.Enjoy!

It is beautiful up there on the bottom of a mountain. Very peaceful and relaxing. Plus, fishing whenever I want to just a few steps from the front door. Now that makes for a good vacation away from the big city.

I'll definitely take pictures and post a few when I get back.I love to camp also, although we won't be doing any camping this trip, but the first time we went up there we camped out at Daisy State Park. It was so pretty, right off the lake more toward southern Arkansas.I'll be getting my masters in construction managment.

Made it back late last night. I'm so bummed to be back and that I have to go back to work tomorrow. The vacation was great. Below are a couple of pictures I'd thought I'd share.Beaver Lake from the dock by the house.
