so here is the plan to buy a Vibe cheap:I looked at carsdirect.com price:it is currently $3000 under invoice, because of the 2 rebates.a Base Vibe is now $16,255, so: $16,255 (base vibe invoice price) $3,000 (current rebates) $450 (upromise promotion rebates) $500 (car show rebates) $1300 (which is what I paid under invoice about 1 1/2 month ago) $500 (loyalty lease rebate, don't know if this is available now) $3500 (GM Card rebate) $250 (GM settlement coupon, buy it on Ebay)____________ $6,755 (final price + tax + license)of course your mileage may vary. there are few things:1. car show rebates of $500, it is only available during car show and 2 weeks after in the area around you. currently in Chicago area only. in January, it was in southern California only.2. $500 lease loyalty rebate, you must be an existing GM leasee or coming off it.3. upromise $450 money is not cash back, it is towards a 529 education account.4. GM card rebate, you must have a GM credit card with that much points.5. $1300 under invoice pricing. it is what I negotiated back in end of January. some of you are better negotiator than I am, some are worse, so your mileage may vary.6. If anyone is able to get into a base Vibe with no options, no trade-in, and no cash down for $6,755, I would love to hear about. That would be one heck of a deal!

for me, it would be $1500 more. I qualify for all discounts except I only have $2500 on my GM card, so I am $1000 short here. Second, I don't qualify for $500 car show rebates (I live in Los Angeles, have to wait till next January to qualify). so for me, it would be $8,255.

at least a lot of you's guys are gettin vibe's with rebates and purchase incentives, i bought mine when the line was only 3 months old way back in march of last year, so just be happy that you are gettin them cheaper.yogi

Lease Loyalty ended February 28th, so forget that $500. And no one gets a car for $1,300 under invoice so forget that amount. The old age money ended January 31st. And you have to have a GM vehicle to get the last $1,000 of the $3,000 total. And there is no rebate for non-GM owners.

I am Canadian. We get a nice warm cup of JACK SQUAT! And a 6 month wait for good measure. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you guys down there. We don't even get the GM employee discount on a VIBE in Canada. I have yet to hear one single reason why we are treated like second class consumers. GM Canada, you suck.

I searched on the web. it is a loyalty incentive or conquest incentive. in loyalty incentive, you must have a proof of GM ownership. in conquest incentive, it is any non-gm car ownership. so the $1000 is a freebie for most of us (as long it is not your first car).yes, I got my car for $1300 under invoice late January. and my car was built early January. if you check around the forum, you will find manay got the car for about $1300 under invoice, some got even more discounts.Ma-vibe-fan is right about lease loyalty ending on Feb 28th and old age money ending Jan 31st.so the only thing is that I won't be getting my $500 lease loyalty.

When I purchased mine back in December, I got $2250 in rebates after they applied the GM discount. The GM discount saved me just over $2700 alone. Then they added tax and my extended warranty then applied the rebates. I actually saved almost $5000 on mine. I am glad to hear they are giving a little better incentive. But I gladly sacrifice the $750 extra rebate to be able to drive my Vibe for the past three months.

Now most of the USA has something in common with our neighbors to the north. The Rebate Shaft. Bellwilliam's conquest rebate is correct where he is, California. But only there. Just the Western US has this conquest rebate. From reading posts, this is the first rebate I can recall that splits the USA. They must have had a simular program in January, because even GM employees only get about 3% ($600ish) under invoice. Now the Canadians have to drive farther to get the best deals. Atleast California will be warm. More snow today for us.

Curious about the special California rebates.Traditionally, they used to say in the car magazines that Californians love and buy imports more per capita than other states. Is that still the case?That may be the reason for the loyalty and conquest rebates.

I just checked, and Ma-vibe-fan is correct about California only $1000 rebate on all GM.may be you guys should take off your snow chain and come down to California to buy one.California is really import car capital. I see about 30 Porsche, 10 Ferarris a day. but I only see one vibe every other day. of course, I live in West Los Angeles. Porsche capital of the world.
