Looks Nice, I was going to do the same thing for mine, but NY wants way too much money for vanity plates.

In Vir-Gin-A the cost of a novelty plate is about $15 or something insane. In CT it costs over $100. Hence I stick to my 6 alphanumerics

To get the personalized plate it is 10 and the city fee is 25 and registration is 39.50. so all together it is $74.50 for plates every year.

here in Michigan it's way expensive IIRC, it's like $100, but the worst part is that you have to pay that every year when you renew. Price varies per vehicle type and model.

Not to mention people in VA (at least Fairfax County) have like 70% of something crazy of their car tax paid by the city or something. My gf paid like $30-50 for her car tax bill come time. Up here in CT she is now at $400 and I'm at $338 for the Trix.Cost of living in CT is ridiculous, We are going to need a loan for 300K to be able to even afford a house to live in. In my area housing starts at 250 for fixer uppers and for 300 you may find something.

We do get a car tax relief here. And for house, for K-Nine they are cheap, but in my area for a decent house you are looking at 350 to 400

I don't understand the tax stuff. But up here in Toronto, the house prices range from $250-600 in my area.People that live downtown pay $450-1 million for a condo. That's why I drive a Vibe and not a mercedes or BMW.Owning a house is expensive, let's not talk about having kids on top of that.

Too many people moving out of the city, into the country. Damn city slickers bringing their fancy city ways out to the country.

My wife and I bought our current house five years ago, some know that we are currently trying to sell, fact is we may not sell because the houses that we can afford to buy are the style and size we are already living in... HAHAHAyep if I was going to try and buy my house today with the rates being 6.25% for a 30 fixed the payment would be double what I am currently paying. DAME I bought my house at the right time... HAHAHA

The market is still coming down which I love. But taxes up here are beond ridiculous. My fience's mother owns a condo she just had reappraised cause she finished the basement and added a full bath. Now she has a 2 bedroom 3.5 bath place. Somewhere in the mid to high 3's. Taxes for her are around 7k+ a year, on a condo!
