Time for tires

After some research, I was leaning towards the General Exclaim UHP. They are TOP rated on Tire Rack, I like the looks, and they are very reasonably priced. BUT, all the reviews that I have read even though there might be good things, the underlying complaint is that the sidewalls are too soft. I dont think this is good for ANY tiire! I dont want a tire that has soft sidewalls. The Kumho SPT seems the way to go. Size 225/45/17. Any thoughts?

I had been looking for tires for a LONG time and while my intent was to get the SPT'z, i ended up with something else(the SPT were backordered and i needed tires ASAP, couldn't wait), now i'm kicking my own (removed) every day over it... I've owned 3 sets of Kumho tires and LOVED every set, watching them go for a different brand was hard... espically considering i took a step back. They are a very well made tire and get EXCELLENT reviews of on my Subaru site, where EVERYONE is looking for performance first, in all catigories. I think you'll be very happy with the SPT.I would also like a "real" review on the tire, if you had read the reviews on Tire Rack, you can tell that 90% of the people writing reviews, Don't really have a clue, as far as what a "performance" tire should be like or do...

Looks like I will be going with Kelly Fierce HP tires in 225/45/17. Can get them locally for $380.00 installed plus tax and install kit. Have read some really good reviews plus they have the agressive tread pattern I like. Getting them tomorrow so I will tell ya how they are soon!
