If it's gonna be free, I'll take a 'house of color' yellow. That stuff is $10 a pint.

Hmm I'd have to say some shade of blue, possibly the colour of the Mazda 6. Or some kind of paint job that when you look at it one way it looks normal, but if you look at it another way you see an image. Parents saw a car like this at the auto show but can't remember what the image was now.

Actually, I am in love with the neptune blue my vibe is already painted. But if someone offered a free paint job, I'd use it to have my old pickup repainted to match the Vibe in neptune blue. KSNeptune

I do so love my salsa vibe--so I probably wouldn't change it in the end. But I would heavily consider that orange color that Nissan has put on the Muranos....

If I had to repaint it, I would choose the Envy color in monotone.

What ever you do, don't paint it Satellite!! I'm really sorry I bought mine, in that color. My door sills are already scuffed down to the black color of the plastic (urethane?) material where our shoes scrape when getting in and out. The same with a couple of rock chips on the front end. Glad I got my bottle of touch-up today. Probably should have ordered two!!! Really wish I had not got the monotone in that light color.

What kind of door sill protectors? Mine has the black protectors, but is getting scuffed/chipped outboard of the protectors, on the Satellite painted area, which on yours would be the grey color.

I think if I could repaint it, I would go with the orange on the Cadillac CTS or the 350Z. Another really nice color is candy tangerine.

quote:If I had to repaint the Vibe, I'd go for the frosty with the grey cladding . I love my abyss mono, but that two-tone white and grey is very attractive.Thanks. Maybe you are being brainwashed because I always post my car.You know AtWork, if you want maybe we could work an even trade so you could get your two tone white, I think I could adapt to a 6 spd GT Seriously though, do you have 16" or 17" wheels? Thinking of upgrading? Let me know. To get back to the original question. I like my color too! Maybe I could save my free paint job for 6 years and get it repainted after all the inevitable scratches are on it.

I like Lava, but really liked White, too (both two-tone). As for colors not offered, Forest Green would be a good choice.

I would have gotten monotone Lava if I didn't want Satellite. The '93 Sunbird I traded in was also that exact shade of red. I happened to see a monotone Lava Vibe today on the way to work. It looked great.

metallic white monotone with silver or gold micro-mica sequins, orange metallic or gold metallic monotone or offer different colors on the bottom cladding...maybe a silver/light gray or gold/tan

yeah, i know, silver....sequins is a weird term for paint, but in reality they are flakes in the paint...similar to metal flake paint jobs tht were real popular in the late 60's, 70's but not as big in flake size...my husband painted my '70 AMX with them(gold) in with the base white paint and ,boy, that car just shimmered when light hit it...its a custom addition to paint..shades of stayin alive and disco...

I have the shadow with moldings and 5% tint. It is still my favorite but black monotone is a very close second and salsa is growing on me to.Hack, I love them all.

quote:I have yet to see a Envy up close. Consider yourself priveleged. The dealer where I bought mine had a 2 tone Envy AWD. They might still have it. Looks like somebody ate about 25 lbs of rotten peas and threw up all over the car (apologies to any Envy colored Vibe owners).I loved the shadow color very much. Almost bought the one on the lot that was very similarly equipped to my Neptune. I like blue and the Neptune had the side airbags and 6-disc in dash CD changer so I went with it.If I could repaint it for free, I would have to get the special Ford paint that changed 4 different colors depending on what angle you were looking at the car. It was the wildest thing I ever saw. It was a factory option in the mid or late 90's on the Mustang and Lightning only. It was about a $4000 option. It changed from dark blue to purple to orange to something else, I forget what the fourth color was. Either that, or I would have to look at some cool colors from the house of kolor. They have some unique paints.

I would leave mine black, but would have Black pearl ghost flames added. You know the kind that you just barely see? Same basic color, but with the pearl additive to make it shimmer......sweet, yet subtle.
