some details on the car. 2003 GT Original wheels and lug nuts that came on the car.Factory 16" alloy wheels112k on carLong story short. Had a flat tire that i noticed getting in the car to go to lunch. No biggie i thought. Opened up the back, grabbed the factory supplied tools to do a quick change to the spare. The virgin unused factory lug nut wrench did not fit. No stampings on it that indicates size but it was barely too small. As in a couple of mm's. Its almost like a metric/standard swap or vice versa. Has anyone here actually taken out their original lug wrench and verified that it fit on the original lug nuts?Could this be a toyota metric wrench and a gm supplied standard lug nuts? or vice versa?Someone plz go check theirs, i'd be very curious if its just mine or if others have had the same issue. If you have had the same issue post the year and what wheels.

Mine fit on my '04 and the one on my '06 also fits. I don't have a GT though. Did you buy the car new?

This is one of the first things I check when buying a new car. Must say I've never had this problem but,When I got my 05 Vibe, while checking the lug wrench I found 3 loose nuts on one wheel. ARRrGGGGG.Called the salesman, told what I found & got laughed at. Needless to say the next 3 cars I bought for my family came from another dealer.

I'll admit it... I'm spoiled with my AAA membership. I pay for the membership, I like the luxury of having someone else change my tire

I once had someone's loose wheel fly at me at 50 mph while I was bicycling. Knocked the bike out from under me but fortunately didn't cause any injury.

My lug wrench fits the lug nuts just fine! However it is way too short in length and If the Tire Jockys use the wrong torque setting on the impact wrench they are next to imposible to move with the supplyed wrench. I need to find a extension bar for it someplace.

I have AAA to but I don't use them for flats, only towing. I would rather pull over and have it done in 7mins or less. Fastest was 5 from park to drive Of course it was 1am in the ghetto of Bridgeport right after the bars had closed with my friend Angela in the car.I also agree on the torque issue. Thats why when I get home from a rotation or have shoes put on, I get my trusty torque wrench and fix it to the proper lb/ft.
