Hi all,I'm getting closer to getting the Vibe.. I'm already planning mods and i think i've found the components i'm going to use..... http://www.pioneerelectronics.....htmlThese Pioneers are getting RAVE reviews and don't shatter the bank account (the pioneers site "lists" at 550, but they can be had under 300 elsewhere)I've used Polk MOMO components now for years and have owned 3 different sets of polk components over many years.I have a new set of Polks sitting in the garage, but i think i'm gonna use the Pioneers as they are REALLY talking about the mibass reproduction from the Pioneers... Anyone else got "plans" up their sleeves?? I'm an X installer, so if anyone has questions, please feel free... I only give my personal advise on things i truely know something about, So if i DON'T know something, i DO know where to find the answers!!!Cheers Ya'll,AaronNOTE: I asked for this to be moved from the Interior forum to here over a week ago and got nothing, so, even though i'm well trained not to, i had to double post this...

Honestly by the reviews, with the pioneers I dont think you will be getting by, I think you will be singing to the bank.I know where your coming from with the price increases this year Zapco prices went up quite abit in their amps and processors. The DSP saw the biggest hit almost doubling. I paid something like $850 for mine and retail was like $900. Now full retail is $1223.00 and 398 for the DRC for a total of $1621.00. I could be wrong but last I heard was the DRC does not come with the DSP-6 anymore as when I bought mine I got both pieces.Aron

I couldn't drop that kinda money unless i was active in USAC or IASCA

No I was just saying that with the reviews I have read. I seriously think the pioneers are underpriced. Judging from the reviews I would have guessed somewhere in the $900-$1500 price range.Aron

Well, i just layed my money down for the Pioneer TS-C720 components... 265.98$ shipped to my door, from an Ebay store NIB... Fingers are crossed that they live up to my expectations. I have no oppertinuity to do any listening test in my area. very few audio shops and the ones that ARE around don't carry any "upscale" gear...

Congrats, Now your just gonna let me know how they turn out. I know what you mean about shops not stocking the upscale stuff. My local Zapco shop has the reference line up which helped me make the move.Aron

Thanks, I'm psyched, i still haven't got the proper crossovers from Polk for my new MOMO set, so i said, the heck with it(i got the 5.25" crossovers in my 6.5" set... So i have a Polk MOMO set sitting idle... I sure wish i could make the move to Zapco, i LOVE the 5-6ch amp they have in the Reference line (i think)Have you got a post about your CarPC somewhere... i love the idea, but i was thinking i would do a Kenwood USB unit and a laptop HD
