ok what size torque screw do I need? I read you have to get longer ones but I'm not that good with screws.

Sorry about that....in the posts of other members who installed the roof caps they mention that one or a couple of the back torque screws that are removed when you take off the rack are too short. I was wonderingif there was a specific number or part# for this screw. Everytime I go to Home Depot I can't figure out the screws. Just wondering if someone knew the specific type and length of torque screw required or if it was even a torque screw they replaced it with.

It's a lot of work to take those stupid racks off.I'm too lazy to take mine off,but it would look better without them.

I'm not going to use them again therefore I am not going to be gentle with them...except around the paint of course. From the instructions it shouldn't be too hard to do. Still haven't got the caps back from the paint shop so I've got time to figure this out so that I don't run into issues. Thanks for the help.

To get the full rack off, just pull the rails up and forward i think...or up and backwards. I forget which way.On my roof caps I got, the rear two bolts on the right side of the car are not there, I just filled it with silicon until i could solve the issue.....year or two passed and still did nothing with it so I don't think I'm going to bother trying to find any screws fo it lol....All the screws on the left side went in ok.

Well the roof rack came off easily. But getting the caps to line up is a nightmare!! I managed to get all but one screw back in but it took like 20 attempts alligning it to get any screws to line up. I thought the holes on the caps would line up perfectly but they didn't and i had to press down really hard for the screws to catch...my hand and arms are totalyy sore. I am going to seal them tonight will keep you posted on the final fit.
