Removing the driver side foot rest?

I did a search and found someone who had their's broken, but I don't seen any information on how to remove one. I'm in a walking cast (left foot) for the next couple of months, and would really appreciate having some extra room to operate the clutch. Anyone know how that thing comes out?I don't feel any fasteners on the sides, and it doesn't appear to slide any particular way...

Yep, I ripped mine off and the white plastic screws too. I needed the leg room.

are you talking about that annoying foot rest on the left side of the driver's side? right next to the wheel well? i thought it had to be there. like it was flush up to the wheel well. I'm gonna have to try this, it's so uncomforable for me. it's in an odd place and it's too narrow for me.

Much, much more comfortable to operate the clutch now.
