This is probably a stupid question, but what is the Moon and Tunes package? I originally thought it was a moonroof and alternate stereo system? Just need to clarify.

How much extra is it? Sounds like a must!

I ordered it on mine. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a Vibe unless you want the DVD navigation system or 17" rims. Definately worth it!

If you're tall, do yourself a favor and sit in one that has moon-n-tunes before you order one. I can't fit comfortably in a moonroofed car, even the Vibe.

At $525, the package is a real value. I've seen prices for moon roofs range all over the place, some even more than this combined package. I figured, hey, I'll get it for moonroof to fulfill a promise I made to the wife several years ago, and upgrade the stereo if I want as part of my hobby.

Is there actually a difference between the two (moon and non-moon)? I'm tall and I manage to fit just fine into my Vibe with the Moon and Tunes package, but I never did sit in one without it. What is the difference... care to explain?

Wow, a three inch difference!? I had no idea - I am only 5'11 so it does not bother me at all

I never noticed that there was a difference in the room of a moon roofed car and a non-moonroof. And now I feel kind of silly that I wouldn't think there would be. I know that on a convertible they take the room for the top out of the back seat, so it only makes sense that a moonroof would take room out of the head clearance. Nonethless, I am 6' tall and have a moonroof, and I have no problems at all. I test drove a GT with no moon roof, and didn't even notice the difference. The salesman was in a hurry to get me out of the GT though, I'm not too good with a stick shift....

At 6'5 I find that my Moonroofed Vibe offers plenty of head room, I have no problem fitting in it., Plus I love the cool breezes!

I was curious why no one said they could fit in a moonroofed car...I never thought, that roof has to go somewhere! LOL! Maybe cause on the Sunfire, the moonroof lifted up and then went back over the top of the roof, rather than into it.Anyone know where I would go to learn a stick? Just a regular driving school, or is there somewhere I could go that would give me better training on a stick...

Is it possible to get a six disc changer with the moons and tunes? I saw this car advertised on ebay and its stereo is different than mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... egory=6386 Anyone know?

I have the 6 disk changer and 6 sp, 200 watt amp but no moon roof. It didn't sound like that was possible in the brochure but when I ordered the car it was not a problem. I wonder if your salesman can pull strings with available packages?

Perhaps the 6 disc was put in on site and not in the factory. Back before my family had CD's, my parents used to have the dealer switch out CD players for tape decks when we bought cars...the dealer just ordered a new radio and swapped them out.

My vibe was purchased with the moons and tunes and the 6 disc indash changer...its what I wanted when we were looking for the car. I love the tunes package and have no problem with the sound quality as some others do.

It is not available with the Nav system.quote:I saw this car advertised on ebay and its stereo is different than mine.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... ry=6386The stereo in that Vibe is the in-dash 6-disc system.

This pic shows the Nav system but doesn't show the map lights and moonroof controls on the roof. I don't think they had the moon-and-tunes package.

Remember, there were 3 different Vibes and they may not be all equipped the same.quote:PLEASE NOTE that in Canada you can have an AWD Vibe with the GPS and Moonroof installed! Here's what I think (it may or may not be reality):The moon-and-tunes package (PCR) is not available with the Nav system (U1A) anywhere, period. However, the moonroof by itself (CF5) may be available with the Nav system (U1A) in Canada. It's not available in the States because you have no way to order the just the moonroof (CF5) in the states. You must order it as a package with the amplifier (PCR) and since the Nav system doesn't operate with the amp, you can't get the moonroof and the Nav system together.

According to the article, they had 3 different Vibe's involved. They may not have had the same equipment. If you look at the "shaving" picture, the map lights associated with the moon roof option are not visible. There is not a picture on that site which shows both together in the same car.

I believe this is the came car. If so, the lack of lights/controls on the inside roof prove that it does not have the moon-and-tunes package and that the only thing on the roof is snow. You can not make out the outline of a moonroof.

I have the Moon and Tunes package and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Stereo system sounds so much better with the little speakers and tweeters. Most people think that I had a stereo system installed and can't believe the car came like that! I live in California also, so the Moon Roof is a Plus for the hot summer days!

quote:All the 3 Vibes were 3 different colors Nova, and it is the same color (Abyss). Finally, someone with actual proof. You are correct, that is the Abyss Vibe. You can see the color on the door window frame. However, we already said the moonroof (alone, not as part of the moon-and-tunes package) is available with the Nav system in Canada. Since you can't get the moonroof alone in America, you can't get the moon-and-tunes with the Nav system.
