my truck i have had since highschool had been on the backburner for a while due to a bad fuel pump and a bad injector. so got both parts last week and put them on two days ago. now for a little info on my truck. it's a 1992 ranger, swb, single cab, 5spd, with the 4.0L. it has 4.11 richmond gears, forged rods, forged pistons, ported heads, crane cam, balanced and knife edged crank, titanium springs and retainers, accel injectors, bbk 66mm throttle body, centerforce clutch, cai, and split dual exhaust. i did all this work while i was in high school. one thing at a time of course! that was alot of working at mcdonald's!! anyhow needless to say this truck does not play around. last race i got in in it was a few years ago against a 2000 or so mustang gt with a mean sounding exhaust, i played with him up to about 50 letting him stay beside me, then i waved by and floored it. back to my original story.. got it running (ran horrible at first) let it sit and run for like 20 minutes. then took her out on the road. barely blipped the throttle and holy crap the tires violently started spinning. man i had forgot how much torque that thing has and how light the rear end is. wound up driving it around for like 2 hours. these to guys i know were out side so i stopped and talked for a few then as i was leaving one yelled "get on it!" i did a burn out up through about half of third gear furiously trying to keep it straight. god i forgot how much i love that truck. but alas the elements it has been sitting out in for a few years now have takin their toll i have a couple of rust spots that need attention and the paint i used to paint it was cheap and is chipping and peeling badly. and there is the two nice dents that hurrcaine katrina left on it in the form of a falling tree. thankfully i had pushed the ranger to a safer location, because it was beside my ford probe that got hit by 5 trees. verynice. anyhow ill have to post a video of my truck and maybe some pics. she's not much to look at right now, but god is it fast.!!!!!

I own a 97 ranger 4x4 with the 3.0L It's ok, no mods, the thing keeps me too busy repairing electrical issues to worry about mods on it.

I took it off due to gas prices, noticed with boltons I was still getting 5-6mpg so I said screw it and put it back on and got a smaller pulley. Now I have to find a family member to drive/trailer it to dreaded STL for me since its the closest place with an AWD dyno.

damn, sounds like injun and tangerine both have some mean trucks, injun's got the small trucks taken care of, and tangerine's got the full size trucks locked down.my friend's got a pretty nice 71 chevy truck. he can punch the gas a couple times n get the front wheels off the ground about knee high. his constant talkin about it gets old sometimes tho

My girlfriends brother has an older S-10 with a 383 pushing out almost 700hp and a 150 shot of nitrous ontop of that. that kid is suicidal. He removed the bed, replaced it with a rubberoid and made custom fenderwells to fit 18 inch wide wheels. Some massive beef in the rear of that truck. I want him to run it at the strip but he doesn't want to put a cage in it, and you can bet with that kind of power and as light as it is he'll be below 11.99 and require a cage. lolI wasn't a big fan of trucks but my father and I got the SS Silverado when it came out as a project. (first red SS to hit SW Missouri) It ended up being my DD after my car accident, then I sold it to my dads friend...he ended up asking me to buy it back because he didn't realize the gas milage was so crappy with the bolt ons, and since he was also a business associate of my dads my dad made me do it, so I modded her and had some real fun. Didn't expect a truck to be able to do what she can do.I'm in the mood for something new though.

damn i would not even consider driving that truck anywhere without a cage. sounds like you have a pretty mean truck too. i think my next vehicle i buy will probably be a lightning. i have wanted one ever since i first laid eyes on one. plus i would have some serious hardware to begin with there. i dont know though because the srt rams are not holding resale value well. i have seen them go for as little as 24,000 on ebay. so might have to look into one of those too

Lightning will spank the SRT Ram with a cpl grand in mods. The SRT Ram is a joke. It may be 500hp but it does not perform like it should. Even the SRT Cherokee with 80 less hp out performs it. That Cherokee is one of the vehicles on my list to decide from. 420hp@4700lbs in an SUV is just yummy.

Oof. Def keep an eye on the injuries...especially if he is someone with a high tolerance for pain, my most severe injuries from my accident did not show themself until almost 2 weeks later.
