How would you recomend improving the handeling in a base '03 vibe. I'm not looking to spend $$$ but if there are ways to decrease the amount oversteer that would be great. Thanks,~Snake

For free? Find a place that does free alignment checks to make sure your alignment is good. Then, you could play around with tire pressures a bit. Others may have more ideas than that.Rear sway bar helps quite a bit and it isn't too expensive. After that though, you would have to look into lowering springs.

You gotta pay to play... but a rear SW is only about 100-150$ that'll make the biggest improvement... well besides improving the driver.... Most American cars are designed to under steer, as a "safety" cause not so many people can control the over steer (that's changing with the advent of drifting, but not in the general populous) A front driver can be coaxed into over steer by using "lift throttle over steer" or at the apex of a turn, lift off the gas and transfer the weight forward.... BUT, this is something that MUST be practiced or you'll stuff it into a tree... you didn't even hear it from me.... lol... a sway bar will "help" but it's just one part of a "system" the suspension "system" so changing just one part isn't going to be as good as changing the system... Tires and tire pressure helps a lot to (as mentioned on the pressure)

Rear sway bar, Front strut bar, springs and 17" wheels with low profile tires are your best bet for improving the handling.
