I just replaced my factory single disc with a factory 6 disc and when I turned it on it said it was locked and none of the buttons worked. Anybody know how to unlock it? Or is that somthing the dealer has to do?Thanks

I'm not sure but I think the default lock code should be in your owners manual.

If it's locked, it may not be from a Vibe.There's been two other people post over the last few years about locked 6CD units - I think both were from Ebay. Unfortunately, neither posted if they ever got it unlocked or how.

Well I know it works. When I plug it in and turn the key to ACC it will play the radio for about 2 seconds and then it locks. It is from a vibe I have the Vin #. I just don't want to go to the dealership if I don't have to. They would be like "what do you mean your radio is locked? " or "Why did you do that?"

I want you to try something,to see if it works.#2.Hold down the Radio Presets 2 and 3 buttons for six seconds.#3.The radio display changes from LOC to a three-digit number. Write this number down. Don’t take forever, fifteen seconds max before the next step.#4.Press or hold the AM/FM button.#5.The radio display changes to another three-digit number. Write this number to the right of the first one.#6.You now have a six-digit number, the first three digits are from STEP 03 and the last three digits are form STEP 05.07. Call 1 800 537 514008. Press 1 then # (pound). You’ll hear “Invalid Code, try again”09. Press 139010 then # (pound). You will be asked to enter your four or six digit code followed by * (star)10. Enter the number from STEP 6 then * (star)11. Listen to the four-digit number and write it down. It will be repeated twice12. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)13. I tried it couldn't get the radio to display any numbers.

Sorry Buddy,I thought you should at least give it a try to see if it worked.As GMJAP said,I think you may never get it unlocked.Your best bet is to talk to a car audio place or the dealer unfortunately.
