I'm in the market for an mp3 player.I have a car kit,now just need a player.I've been looking at the ipod nano, but was wondering is this the best,it only has 2 gigs of storage.Cost is a factor in my decision. So,with that said,I need help from the Gen-Vibe community to narrow down my decision,or let me know what you're using. Thanks

Personally, I'd get the nano. Apple has good quality hardware.I wanted a 1GB flash MP3 player for when I exercise or if I just wanted to carry something smaller than my 30 GB iPod. So, being a cheapskate, I bought a 1 GB MP3 player/FM radio thing from Tiger Direct for fourty bucks, $18 after rebate. The piece of crap lasted all of a couple months. Definitely worth the extra cash to go with the Apple, it should last you a long time. You might not get as many "features" or as much storage with the iPod compared to a cheap piece of crap knockoff, but it's worth it.

I have a creative Vision:M 30GB player, and I really like it. but I assume the general concensus here will be that you should become a pod person. Just don't go to sleep.

I would get something with more space than a 2 gig Nano, I think they make a 8 gig one. Unless you are just planning on running with it at the gym, bare minimum capacity I would go with would be 8 gig. I have a 20 gig Iriver H10 and I am fairly satisified with it. Sometimes it is a pain in the (removed), but I think that is more WMP than the player itself. As far as non Ipod players I have heard good things about the Creative Zen Vision M, and the Creative Zen Micro. Good luck, I read reviews for two weeks until I decided on mine.

Is your iPod going to be controlled via the headunit? If not, you might want to consider getting a model with bigger screen (ie Video) cause it'll be easier to see what you're doing while you drive

If you do get the Sandisk, get the case/ armband that DLO makes for it. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm...il.do

i also have a creative zen vision M, imo you cant go wrong with it, 30 gigs of storage for less than the cost of an 8gig ipod. i like the overall size of it (a lil thinner would be nice but o well, its no thicker than my cell), screen size is good too. when necessary to change what i'm listening to while driving i wouldnt want a smaller screen and i only do so at lights or when no one else is around.
