Hey guys/galsJust found this forum as my interest in my vibe is growing. We got a 2003 VibeGT abotu 5 months ago and I am in LOVE with the engine. For the past2 years or so I have been tuning saturns (stop laughing...their light and cheap :-D) and my interest grew towards the variable valve timing. I looked at hondas and toyotas and i decided that the vibe was the best choice due to over-all functionality. Anywho, I'm lookin forward to talkin shop with all you gear heads here. My specialty is turbo.Peace-wok

She's all stock for now but I have been working on a custom ramhorn turbo manifold. I was originally making this for my saturn but it's only tacked together (thanks goodness) so all i have to do is cut the tacks and resize/shape the thing. I have the wastegate and a few other random hardware pieces (oil/coolant lines/fittings, tubing for turbo to intercooler and back to TB) A lot of what i have was selected for my saturn ('02 SC2...R.I.P.) so I will have to give some serious thought as to how i want to run this turbo. You mentioned there were kits available but I seem to be a glutton for pain as i wish to do a custom set up. I do have the background to do this (associates degree in auto tech and a certification for welding) but there is always a ton of info i dont know yet regarding my particular engine. That's where you nice folks come in :-)I'll be moving over the course of the next 2 weeks but after that i should be on here more often.-wok

AFAIK they do a lot of custom work on turbo's and FI.

Hello neighbor! Welcome to the forum. Heard there was a new kid in town. You don't have a black vibe gt, do you? If so, I've been looking for you. Yeah, Monkey wrench has the best deals on go fast parts for our engines. Also, you might want to check out Extreme Performance motorsports just north of the airport (757-0269). Take Wisconsin Ave all the way to the industrial park. First right turn into the park. Then another first right turn then follow the bend in the road. They are attached to a body shop. You can't miss all the mustangs and ricers parked in front. They have a dyno for you're tune and the make race and show cars for a living. Very nice to talk to. A little slow on getting things done by YOUR schedule, though. But still the best in this part of the state. They've already did a Hass turbo kit install on one celica gt-s (finishing thier second now) that's now putting down 400+ whp with a MWR stage 3 race engine. And they're making a couple engines for cars that will compete it the ISCA Riddler and they have 3 cars that are in the top 10 (one is #1) in the ISCA.We'll have to have a meet sometime. I live by the Dairy Queen on the north side.

I'd like to be a gearhead, but my interest in cars came a little late. In other news, welcome to Generation Vibe! I'll be interested to see what you turn out with your new car.
