Since you're a Vibe owner, I want to know, what did you pay for your vibe of a similar configuration?I was looking @ the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit, both of which, I doubt can be driven safely during Winter.The 2007 Vibe configuration I'm looking at is the following:-Base Vibe (only one they sell)-AT-Power Package -ABS-StabiliTrak-Driver & Front Passenger Side-impact AirbagThis carries a MSRP of $25,575.How much should I negotiate for with the dealer?How has the car been for you in terms of relability, comfort, and fuel economy? Also, how's the after-service? Is this car safe for Winter driving?Thanks.

I notice that you're in Canada. is that 25,575 in canadian? or american? The fuel economy on these is top of the line for a non-hybrid gasoline car. Reliability opinion will depend on who responds. Most people have not had any bad experiences with their vibes, but some have had some horrendous vibes. And Comfort, it's as comfortable as you make it. I personally love the seats for long drives.(I used to regularly take 1100 mile trips. and haven't had a problem with them). I think the vibe i have (03 base auto, no ABS or Stabilitrak) does very well in th snow. I can only imagine that if you add those two items that it will get better.

Go to KBB.com or Edmonds.com for dealer invoice figures. The Vibe has a "Recommended" buy rating from Consumers Report magazine.

that seems like a fair price considering when I bought mine with less options... I paid about the same... that was back in 03 however.

$500 over dealer invoice is always a fair price. you also need to consider all the taxes you'll have to pay as well. if MSRP is $25, I'd be looking to offer about $23-24K, before any incentives or rebates.

http://www.bobdanielscars.com Pontiac Buick GMC in Columbus, OH today there was an ad for a new 2006 Vibe sunroof, antilock, xm radio - MSRP $21,165 delaer disscount $2,170 and a $1,500 rebate; net $16,499. There were a few other 2006's in that ad. One would think that all the new 2006's would be gone by now.

Where's the other $996?

Car is great in winter if you get snow tires. Fuel economy is awesome, same for reliability... its only ever had oil changes in the past 5 years.

I just bought a 2007 vibe last week with same stuff you mentioned, and with the sunroof package for 19,700, after 1,000 rebate. I thought that was a little high, but maybe not.

Not necessarily... different taxes, and fees than in the US probably.

Cars are 17-25% more expensive in Canada across the board....Lots of reasons why, BUT it's frustrating.. That's 17-25% more expensive even AFTER the exchange rate is factored!!So there is no direct comparison to any US price from a Canadian price.. We also pay $1000 or so delivery, it's how much in the US??$25K, sounds good.. You could negotiate as best as you can.. Sounds like it's pretty loaded..I paid just shy of that with tax, all in.. 0% financing for a 2006, but mine is manual and no Stabilitrak or side air bags.. no sunroof either..I love the car, absolutely versitile.. I pack in so much stuff with the seats down it's crazy!

my 2004 base 5 spd with power package was 23,000 total (all taxes, etc. in)....with 0% financing too!btw...as of last april it was all paid off..yay!

sound about right..i just got an '07 vibe but with manual and without the stabilitrax and it was $21,000(thats including my 2000 down and employee discount)..but the auto tranny itself is $1200-1500 extra..and the side curtain airbags too..i dont have those so that'll bump the price up abit..so ya it is a good price
