Still getting 30mpg

I am happy to report that after putting 9000 miles on my Vibe I am averaging 30mpg; +/- 1 mpg depending on outside temperature. This is approximately 60%city 40%hwy. Considering the new EPA estimates are 25city 31 hwy, I am not complaining. BTW, my Vibe is an '06 base model automatic. We are required to use a 10% ethanol blend in my area (this has not had any noticable effect on my mpg)

If only I were so lucky. Unfortunately traffic here goes 75-85 and no one seems to have a concept of what cruise control is. Plus traffic accelerates pretty quickly and if you don't keep up, you're liable to get rear-ended. I typically get about 25 MPG. Still better than the 20-22 MPG I got in the V6 Malibu I traded for this.

I did my first full tank of gas last week and got 29mpg overall. I am assuming this will get better as the car puts on some more mileage, but I am not complaining. Total KMs=1326 today!

I have been averaging 25-26mpg with my awd for the winter months... hope the summer blend of gas will improve my mpg

Our use is slanted toward city as opposed to highway driving. Overall I'd guess it is 26 mpg. [Usually use our T&C Van for trips - it gets even less annual use.] But annual Vibe miles about only 5,500 so even at $3 a gallon it is not too bad. I work out of a home office so when I retire I'll probably be driving more - not less.

Bought the car used, and it now has over 40k miles. My average for city/suburb is 30MPG, although my last tank was for 32MPG. Just the second tank since changing to synthetic oil, but don't know if that really had any affect. Only real highway trip so far yielded 40MPG under perfect conditions. I am more than pleased!

An Imperial Gallon is 4.54 liters, 20% more than a U.S. Gallon which is 3.78 liters. But $5.60 an imp gal is still $4.67 per U.S. gal. However, the Canadian dollar is equal to 0.89 US dollar. So the $4.67 Canadian is $4.16 U.S. Looking a little better eh? Taxes in Canada may be rest of the difference. We pay less for gas but a lot more out of pocket for healthcare.
