I am leaving for San Antonio on Sunday for my second trip there. I have seen and eaten at the Riverwalk and visited the Alamo. Tell me what else to visit and where to eat well (healthy) Also where in San Antonio can I eat a great Texas steak? I have to at least try that once.We are staying at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk Hotel.Thanks gang!

I believe you're going to be getting there just after Fiesta's over... which is really too bad.. fiesta rocks.

I have to at least try that once.We are staying at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk Hotel.Thanks gang! there are a few good museums here one is the Witte Museum also there is a really good art museum called Mcnay Art Museum. as for steak there are a few good places, my favorite is Texas Land and Cattle, there is also Salt Grass Steak House, aswell as Texas Road House. Now if your in the mood for BBQ Rudy's BBQ is very good here, also Tom's Ribs.i just found this online travel guide thing that might help you as well.San Antoioalso i could meet up with you for some Steak if you wantonce your here. Well, Cole's the resident "Alamoian", but here are some places I'd check out:1) San Antonio Missions National Historic Park: Start at the Alamo, then head on down to Mission San José and the rest. This is a good 4-5 hour trip to see all five missions and is a really nice drive though the southern part of San Antonio.2) Government Canyon State Natural Area This is one Texas' newest parks and is a great place for hiking and mountain biking. Over 8,600 acres and all within the city limits of San Antonio.3) Sea World As for eating, I'll second Texas Land & Cattle. Great service and some of the best steaks for the price. Their specialty is the smoked sirloin. There's one on the Riverwalk; I've been to the one on I-10.Sorry I can't join you out there! My wife and I will be visiting later in the summer and again in the fall (San Antonio Marathon in November).

I just got back from a weekend trip to San Antonio.Texas Land and Cattle for steaks.If you want to get out and about, there is Sea World and Six Flags Astroworld.If you are there Friday night, there is First Friday. Local art galleries and vendors are out displaying their goods for people to buy and there are usually live local bands playing. I believe it starts around 6 pm and goes to 10 pm off of Durango Street. Cole could probably give you more info.
