I'll be attending UH this fall. If you see a two tone silver vibe it might be mine.

Be glad to help with mods. I'd suggest a CAI, but with all the rain we've had this year, I'm gettin' a little nervous (ala NascarXprt).

SR=Short Ram Intake.i do recomend a CAI (Cold Air Intake) but since ive ran into water that seized up my engine twice i went with the Short Ram which is less likely to suck up water.

I have a job working over in Piney Point Village... tho it does not pay the kina money one needs to live there. So I am looking for something on the west side that will not break the bank or be in an area that is too sketchy. I have heard bad things about Alief and the areas bordering 59...it has made me a little arggggh!!! to be honest

Hey Rob...I think you & I talked about your move before via IM or chat. Have you checked the NW area of town near 290?

More toward Hwy 6. Anywhere north of 290 and west of Pinemont. You're gonna have to find a compromise between "nice & cheap" and close-to-work. Always a tough job.

It your wife will be working Downtown, then you will want to live inside beltway 8, otherwise, the commute will be bad for her. I'm in Spring Branch and work in Downtown. My commute is usually about 30-35 minutes going into Downtown on Old Hwy. 90. Cole - I was in Clear Lake last night hanging out with some friends, trust me Clear Lake has drastically changed since the early 90's. A lot more people live out there and the Kemah board walk has become too commercialized.

If you wife will be working downtown, then I highly recommend the Metro Park N Ride system. The buses are nice and the cost is more than offset by the convenience of not having to fight traffic and pay for parking. Most riders are professionals, so you don't really have to worry about someone passing out on your shoulder . There's also a good chance that co-workers car pool and use the HOV lanes to speed things up.I worked contract downtown for about six months and I would've lost my sanity if I had to drive downtown every weekday.METRO's website. Go to their maps and look for park n ride locations that may be near where you move.
