Well, I cleaned my MAF and PVC 9 days ago. I had 1/2 tank of gas then and so I though I would try some shell gas and filled her up. Drove and idled fine until yesterday. When I had a P0420 code(1st cat efficiency below threshold) I get this once every few months since I hollowed out my precat on the AWD header. No big deal never affected performance or idle at all. Then later last night and today, my idle started to get rough and the engine has died a couple of times , acceleration was fine, just idle. Then I received the codes: P0171: System too lean(bank1)P0300: Random/Multiple Cylinder MisfireP0301: Cylinder 1 MisfireP0303: Cylinder 3 MisfireP0304: Cylinder 4 MisfireI have an appointment tomorrow morning at my dealer. I am sure it is the MAF sensor. Makes me wish I kept my spare I had last year. Oh, well. It will be covered under warranty anyway. I'll post up what they find and fix. Good Times. EDIT: I checked my MAF and it was good then I noticed that the rubber intake tube that runs from the stock airbox to the TB was missing a clamp at the airbox end. Well it had vibrated off a little bit and created and additional opening for air to enter into unmetered by the MAF. So, I put on a new clamp and I'm golden. She idles and runs like a champ again! This was an OEM clamp BTW. Glad it was something simple. lol.

Hope they get it fixed up for a good price. It's hard to not take it personal when the Vibe is misbehaving.I had another vehicle that kept throwing misfire CELs, turned out it was a bad battery connector. Not saying that yours might be from the same thing, but hopefully yours will also be something simple, easy, and cheap.

Fixed it! Check the Edit on my first post. I would also like to put it a plug for my code reader. I was able to use it to find and figure out the CEL codes I had. It is an Actron CP9125 OBD II PocketScan Code Reader. I got it on Ebay for $85 last year. I have seen them for a lot less nowadays. This is a very worthwhile investment. I recommend every car owner have one! Especially if you are out of warranty. It will pay for itself easily if it saves you from needing a diagnostic check at a dealer or other mechanic shop.

sigh.... i have the EXACT same codes today...idle is terrible and almost stalling, but acceleration is still as good as everI thought it was my SRI, so put the stock air intake back in. Still had the codes pop up after leaving the battery out for 30min
