It has been nothing short of a major thorn in my side the past few weeks. But I can confidently say the student system I manage is ready for it.

What REALLY sucks is just about every consumer electronic device that would set the time automagically now has the auto set DST feature worthless. VCR's, TV's, certain clocks, etc.... I've got one of those Emerson SmartSet clocks that automatically sets the time (but doesn't do it by radio like the 'atomic' clocks) and that thing's going to have to be manually corrected now. I've got a crapload of clocks that set their time through the atomic clock, they will be fine. But anything that's a piece of hardware that has the dates set for DST that can't be upgraded is now rendered useless. No telling how much resources in China will have to be wasted now to manufacture all kinds of new appliances that will automatically update on the right day now so we can save energy here since the DST has been changed. That's a good energy plan. LOL!Anyway, gotta check to see if my Linux box is going to change, I know the Mac got an update a while back.

Well I guess my computer won't be coming to life and killing me in my sleep. Was kinda looking forward to that end of the world thing with Y2K. Maybe this will do it.

My XP laptop must have gotten an update from Microsoft to deal with, because this morning it had the correct new time. However, genvibe is now one hour slow, as this is posted at 7:45 EDT

Oh God No, We're All Gonna Die!!!!!I'm here and alive. All my clocks have been set to the proper time, crisis averted. Oh no, wait I forgot the Vibe! Redlava runs to the window to make sure his Vibe isn't on fire or turning into Christine. Nope everything's fine.
