Hi all, i think this will be the new look for Vibe 2008. Any comments? Look like Toyota Auris isn't. In a move reminiscent of Ford's Escort to Focus switch. The rear looks little girlish....he..he. For your viewing pleasure. Please comments.Auris

Are these official - or just your renderings based on toyota designs?The Vibe and Aurus look really nice, but the title of this thread may be misleading.

Pretty sure they aren't official. Hell, is anything official anymore? Give everybody and their brother a copy of photoshop and, well...

i like it..dont like the rear tails tho..if they were abit longer like..the 3 little circles were apart of the outer part..then it'll look nicer...also love the exhaust on it

Definately not the 2008 Vibe. The 08 Vibe looks much nicer.

I would say they are just someone's interpretation of the next Vibe. I bet it will be somewhat close to this though. I do like the look of it.

I keep hearing that Toyota thinks the Mazda 3 5 door is a great car. I agree, but it's because of the engine and the suspension-not the cute looks. Make the Vibe/Matrix a we little bit bigger (that's what happens with every car these days) put in the 2.2 liter four and make it a little sportier. It's seems all the speculation is Toyota will make a Mazda 3, I say don't. I would like Toyota to market the Matrix/Vibe between the Mazda 3 5 door and the Mazda 5. If not I can just buy a Mazda

even though the auris looks sweet they wont bring it over here. judging by the lastest spy shot the 2nd gen vibe is taller and a tad longer than this Auris. i hope toyota will jsut bring it over here as a separate model. kinda like what saturn did with thier Astra Wagons (but they are replacing the Ions.)

Hello -(see picture of Blue Vibe GT above)I agree with what NascarXprt said. That must be an Opel Astra, the same car Saturn will be getting to replace the Ion. It's way too similar. If it happens, then it will just be a rebadge. The car will be almost 100% mechanically different from the Vibe. What is interesting to me is that I showed my wife a picture of a 4 door Astra, and said "what does this look like to you". She said it looks like a Vibe!!! CarloSW2

I'm trying to picture someone getting in the back door of the pictured blue car. Seems like it'd be very awkward for anyone over 4' tall.

Those look like the Toyota Yaris 2-dr. hatchback here in the states. And the other blue thing down below has a G8 front end with a Mazda 3 back. I don't think either are correct or close. The Trix/Vibe would not go down in space and room. Those both look too small to be comparable.

I've been reassured that actual marketing for Vibe (for 08/09) is coming soon...this fall.

HA! yea, it worked! I think we have a dead ringer between pics 1 & 2 for the '09 Vibe. Take the Corolla (rendering) front end and you've got the '09 Matrix I believe! Whattya think?BTW, word is NUMMI is already gearing up the plant for the '09 thru '11 Vibe/Corolla. We may see the '09s as early as April/May of next year!!! We can hope any way!

They look more like the '03 to '07s with some body modifications. Maybe those are the '08s, although I don't think they are changing them from the current body style.

OK. last post of the night. I get the feeling that I'm chasing my tail!I'm starting to wonder if Motor Trend screw'd up and posted a spy pic of the Auris. STill, it sure looks like it could possibility be the 2nd GenVibe design. Guess we'll just have to wait for something official.AND since I've dragged you-all through this mess, I will include a sweet pic of our babies - Mako and Bevo.
