I bought a 1990 cadillac eldorado. It has the original stock stereo, and I want to put my panasonic deh 1500 cd player in. I bought the scosche gmda connector kit. (Even though the packakge calls for a different connector for my year car, when I tore the dash apart the first time i realized that the gmda connector was infact the correct one for the factory wiring.) Now the back of the connector package says for bose equipped vehicles I have to purchase the fai-3a bose interface. My question is Do I HAVE to. I called an audio place and they said alot of times they work without them. So I am wondering if anyone with caddy experience knows if I can just plug in the gmda harness and skip the interface, before I rip my dash apart again. and yes my car is bose system

Sorry, it is an audio forum correct. I thought it was relevent ... I can't post at the caddy forum, I've been there trust me it was the first place I tried. they wont allow people with free email accounts such as hotmail to register so I could get no help since my email is hotmail. But now since my question has been moved out of the audio section of this forum to other I suppose I can expect little help here either. I didnt realize the kind of car you owned made it a none audio question.

Actually, this is a forum for the Pontiac Vibe, not for audio in general. We happen to have an audio forum but if you don't own a Pontiac Vibe, we ask that any questions go to the "Others" forum.Someone here may still be able to help and if so, they should see your thread.

my apologies, I thought it was vibe as in just the word vibe, not a car vibe.

mp3car.com is another forum that, if i recall, is centralized around car audio.
