Officially a Vibe owner

So now I can officially introduce myself as a Vibe owner. I was lurking around to read up on them and today I bought one. 2003 Vibe AWD w/ navigation with 77k miles for 9299.00, Making that 11,800 even with 2 yr warranty, tax, etc. I was at my local Pontiac dealership, originally for $13k, then $10,900, then $9999, then I beat them up and got it for $9,299. Just need to buy a cargo mat, floor mats and new Nav disc ($200 ).One question, when driving at higher speeds, I can hear a light humming of the rear differential (I am assuming), is that normal? It could very well be, it doesn't sound bad necessarily, I can just hear it.

I also got mine there, that is the worst dealership I have ever been to. They have 0 selection and their Service Manager sucks big time. If you plan to mod your Vibe at all kiss ALL the Pontiac dealerships around here good-bye, they won't even touch it if it is modified, especially McClellan, they were the worst of all the ones I took my car to! The only 1 I would probably take mine to is Jack Harrison on Mile of Cars. The guys there were much nicer and more understanding and actually tried to work with me.

That's not cool. I don't really plan to mod it. Maybe those cool reflector overlays you have and a K&N filter. Per my warranty, if I am within a 30 mile radius of the dealership, I have to take it to them to have any warranty work done. Have you had any problems with their quality of work or saying they did work that they didn't (or just lying in general) or just customer service?

I went there with a CEL after installing my CAI and they wouldn't touch it, no matter what laws I quoted. Then I blew an engine with a GM supercharger, and I had to buy a used engine and replace it myself even though I was under warranty. NONE of the dealerships would take it, even after I stripped it back to stock.

Doesn't a dealership have to install the GM supercharger for it to be covered by warranty? Still though, back home in Ohio, stuff like that never happened. All the service guys were awesome and did everything they could and had a good attitude no matter what you had done to the car.

That sucks. Well if you ever need any parts, I will see what my friend can do, he just started there a couple days ago. If he's in a good mood, he might be able to get them at dealer cost.

No idea, I didn't really ask him. I guess I should call him more of an aquaintance then a friend. In the past he has been known to be kind of shady a time or two but as long as I get my parts, I'm happy. I'm sure he wouldn't want customers to start complaining to his boss that they aren't getting parts they paid for. I think I am going to get factory floor mats and cargo mat.

Congrats and welcome to the family! Is your Vibe by chance a monotone neptune color? If it is, then it's on autotrader.com! I'm looking at one right now that sorta matches yours... 2003, AWD, $9,998, nav system, etc etc...
