Window tinting laws legend for all states

If I were to take a cross-country trip, would I be subject to the tinting regulations of the state that I was currently in, or would my out-of-state tags exempt me from local tinting laws?

Good question. I am sure you might get hasseled about it if you were pulled over but they probably couldn't give you a ticket.

I believe as long as you are not residing in the state you are ok...that would be based on your license I'm assuming...

Finally got my windows tinted on Tuesday. 35 in the front and 23 on the rest. I like how the clouds are reflecting on the windows in this pic.

tri state area police are usually good with it...so many ricers around here that i dont think the cops around the PA meet will car. Anyway, im sure that they were notified theirs a big meet.

"Too light," one guy said.But if I'm going to do tinting, I want something up front, for two reasons: 1) red-headed hubby is melanin-challenged and 2) tinting the back without tinting the fronts just looks wrong.So anyways, one shop just informed me that NOTHING is allowed on the fronts in Calif. anymore, as of 3 months ago. Hadn't heard that one before. Bummer.I'm thinking I have one way out... I can see if the hubby can get a medical exemption that would allow us to tint the fronts. Nothing major, maybe 50%.
