Since we have had our first tie in VOTM history I have decided to add an extra few days of polling for the tied parties. Poll will close on Monday February 5th at 9PM EST. I give the moderators more credit than to expect them to close the poll and then wait for someone else to vote. I had assumed that they would realize it would be a waste of time to lock the poll and then sit around watching and waiting for someone to vote, and that not locking the poll at precisely 9 would be part of the plan to not lock the thread until immediately after the tie breaker vote was cast. However, I think that since moderators can still post to locked threads, a moderator could probably still vote in a locked poll. This would be irrelevant if all of the moderators have already voted, perhaps they have, perhaps not, can't tell. rasermon is away a lot, perhaps he hasn't voted in the poll yet. Lock the poll, call him up and have him settle it.Or watch it now, and lock it the next time there is a tie breaker vote. People have had enough time to vote, even with the outage, so if they get caught by an early close, that's their problem.. If they don't want to participate, then too bad.
