Greetings all! I purchased a 2005 Vibe AWD last July, and I love it. It came (used) with a high performance K&N air filter, a remote starter and only 23,000 on the odometer. Here are my questions:1. How the heck do I turn the head lights off? Even when Im in park, the lights wont turn off. I turn the knob, but to no avail. I read the owners manual and I cant find any information about turning the headlights off.2. Is there a performance header for this vehicle?3. Are the AWD's only in the color orange? Ive seen a few AWD's around town, and they are also orange. Thanks for information about this wonderful car.Kenny

Welcome kenny! You won't be able to turn off the lights.. see that little black looking globe on the dash right in front of the driver.. that is an auto headlight feature. You will never have to physically turn on the headlights again. There are mods you can do to make the switch manual again. It involves cutting pin 12 on the DRL modual. Do a search for DRL modAs far as your other questions go.. there are a TON of AWD vibes and matrixs out there.. I own one of them.As for the exaust.. there aren't any for the AWD.. just custom due to the awd system the exaust is routed diffently than the rest to clear the rear pumpkin.

whatsup liquidsteel I think a few people have had their headers ported and seen pretty good gains from it too. I don't know hardly anything about the AWD though, so don't take my word for it........pretty sure though. lol

If his issue is he wants manual control of his full headlights, but he doesn't really care about DRL, all he has to do is disconnect the ALS sensor. If his issue is with the daytime running lights, then your answer is correct. In regards to AWD and orange, that is purely coincidental. AWD was always available in any color. Of course, for 2007, neither AWD nor GT trim levels exist anymore.

Well, I have learned, on our GT, to not monkey with the dang headlites. Takes forever to get them back like they were before I twisted the dog gone stick.

You'll get use to it.2. There are no aftermarket performance headers for the AWD. The only way to get one is to have it custom made (approx $500+/-). You can however take off your existing header, do a gasket match porting and hollow out the pre-cat that is located inside the header itself. I and a few others have hollowed out the precat and noticed nice gains (as well as increased interior resonance).3. Fusion would have been my color of choice had it been available at my local dealer. Neptune was a close second and they had that in the AWD I wanted. AWD's came in all the colors available. They just must have sent all the Fusions to your area. lol.

Thanks for all the valuable intel. Im used to having DRL's, but in my previous vehicles but there was a switch on the dash to temporarliy disable this option. I like the color, you say its called Fusion? Salesman listed mine as white on the paperwork, but Ive been calling it penny orange. Fusion sounds better! After reading several different threads at this forum, I found out I also have the the "Moon & Tunes" package. The factory stereo does rock! Ok, next question, I have the simulated leather seats. Here in Nebraska its been really-really cold, and I want to find some good quality car seat covers. I found some on ebay, but they dont appear to be high quality. Anyone out there got a source?Kenny

From one AWD to another...welcome to the club. I'd have to agree with BlueCrush on the fusion color. My wife wanted Fusion and none to be found.....Lava (red) was what she picked out. As for seat covers, one brand that comes to mind is Wet Okole. They make them for the Matrix seats....(not completely sure if they work with the Vibe seats) I have seen them in trucks before and they are nice...but they do come with a pricetag.Good luck in the search!

But I have a friend who has some and they are REALLY easy to install and work great.... just something to look into if you have an extra $100-200
