I have a few issues that the dealer needs to look at.One is my cat-rotten egg smell somethin fierce, and the other is the motor mounts-to much play when I start from a dead stop. But the real question is should I take off my CAI before going to see the dealer, will they deny my claim,or should I worry about it at all.

you can never go wrong by returning the car to stock before asking for wwarranty work.

check into the magnusson moss (sp?) warranty actbasically it's a law that protects consumers from being ripped off on a warranty.to summerize it, it says that the manufactuer or dealer must prove that the modification or parts you put on your car are the cause of the part breaking.ex of bull****- you have a cat back exhaust and your radiator goes. there is no way to show that the cat back exhaust was the cause of the radiator breaking, they can't refuse you warranty workon the other handif you install a cold air intake and drvie through a swamp and hydrolock your car, well then that is your fault and you will be screwed because the part did cause the problembe careful what you put on your car. many dealerships will be ok with basic bolt ons, or if they are not ok with them, at least they are simple enoguht o swap back to stock
My check engine light came on about 4500 miles after I installed the intake. Took it in. They read it and just turned it off, saying bring it back if it does it again, never even opened the hood. Well, 4500 miles it came on again. We just drove it til we had 34000 miles on it. Took it in and they never said anything about the intake. I asked if that caused the check engine light they said no, you need a new computer. Replaced it, light came back on in 4500 miles and out of warranty. THe computer is warranted for 80,000 they told me. So, before 80,000 I may take it in, may not. Ever once in a while I will take the cable off battery for 4 hours and the light resets. Won't come back on for another 4500 miles. Bottom line, they did not cause me any problems because I had taken air box off and installed a K&N like setup. I am used to light being on, does not really bother me since I know there really is no problem with the car.
which cai do you have installed? I remember for my base vibe there was a connector that had one of the tubes from the cai to it that had to be zip tied so it would stay in a certain position so as to not get a cai.
