Hi All,My husband just bought me a 2006 Vibe with 3100 miles for our 35th anniversary. I love it!!! It's a lot different from my Firebird, but I'm sure I'm going to love it as much.First question: What are the 3 buttons between the windshield and the sunroof controls? When I press any one, a liittle red arrrow lights up, but nothing else seems to happen. I can find nothing in the owner's manual even acknowledging that they exist. Help!Second question: Is there suppossed to be a cover of some sort for the hatch area? It mentions one in the manual, but shows no pictures and very little text. At any rate, none seems to be found in the car. Thanks.

Well first of all welcome to genvibe. In regards to the three buttons, it must be something the previous owner put in b/c normally there is just the sunroof controls and the button for the overhead light. in regards to the hatch cover it comes with the car when u first purchase it. so with u being the second owner, most likely the previous owner took it out and never put it back in.you should take a pic of the three buttons did give us a better ideal of what you are talking about

Welcome to GenVibe! Happy Anniversary! I don't have the three buttons on mine, but my guess would be for OnStar? For the cargo area cover check uner the cargo floor door where the spare tire is. That is where mine was. If not, tell the dealer so they can get you one at no charge.

The 3 buttons you mention sound like a HomeLink setup. My wife has it in her Kia Optima. It is used for remote control of garage door openers, lights and door locks in your house. check out http://www.homelink.com for more info. I hope you enjoy your Vibe. I've had mine for 6 months now and love it.

Yup, that's it... it has the little house with an arrow symbol on it. I found the programming directions, but can't get it to work. It used to light the light steady when you pushed a button, so it must have been previously programmed, but after I followed the instructions for reprogramming, now the light never comes on when I do what it says. I can find nothing in the manual or the Vibe brochure that even mentions this feature. Does anyone have any experience with these things? Thanks to all who responded.

Did you try this: First time programming1. For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.) 2. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (located on your ), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view. 3. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.) Note: Some garage door openers may require you to replace step 3 with the “cycling” procedure noted in the “View Canadian Instructions” section. 4. Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light. If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released. If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light, proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. A second person may make the following steps quicker and easier. Please use a ladder or other device. Do not stand on your vehicle to perform the next steps. 5. At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the “learn” or “smart” button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the garage door opener’s manual or contact us. 6. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step. 7. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.

My wife had to run some errands with the Vibe (she makes up errands now) and when she came back I tried it again, and this time evrything worked just like the directions above. Now I can stick the 2nd garage remote back in the Vette. Thanks to you all for the prompt replies. You've got a real nice Forum here.
