My friend Nick and I went to the NAIAS preview this morning. The preview show is much better than the public show....not even close to as many people, and you get to see the cars all nice and fresh without all the fingerprints and smuges all the idiots that HAVE TO TOUCH eveyr part of the car leave behind during the public show...although there were still fingers prints on them lol. I didn't take alot of pictures but I have a bunch of the more important cars there. I will post a few of the best ones on here, the rest you can go look at on in my photobucket @: http://smg.photobucket.com/alb...NAIAS/Few of the most exciting cars to me included: The new Avenger (wouldn't buy one but I didn't know they were bringing it back), The Lincoln MKR, Camaro, Murcielago LM, Ferrari 599, and the Audi LeMans.ANY questions on any of the vehicles, I'll try to answer them

Well....it wasn't a GT but it was the cool new blue color and chrome 17s and exhaust tip I remember when the Vibe first came out....there were modded Vibes in the basement and like atleast four or five on display upstairs in different areas of the show.

Toyota's Hybrid Sports car concept.

Great work! I really appreciate how difficult it can be to take good photos at a crowded auto show.I call the white Toyota FT-HS concept, the 'F-this'. You got one of the better views of it. I absolutely hate the front treatment.Even though it's a couple of years old, I absolutely love that Efijy concept coupe from Holden (GM of Australia).

Aston Martin, Evo, Camaro.... huh? what's that blue thing? lolThe modded vibes will probly pick back up once the 08 comes out. Then we can get more awesome concept cars that noone will ever make! I'm surprised to see that Chevy hatchback thing in there... I didn't know they actually made one. What's up with the "shark fins" on that orange TC?& did whoever made the concept Camaro quit GM and get a job at Ford? Nice pics!

Yeah that's the Toyota Hybrid Izzle. And that was the Italian Stallion Mustang with the cow interrior. I hate the doors on it alot and it looks a little too much like a Ferrari to be considered a Mustang so if Ford ever considers that design, they better be careful what they make as the final design. I do like how they kept the tail lights consistant with the othe rstangs though More pics below including interrior.I went during the pre-show tickets cost like $75 a pop but there are not that many people that can get ahold of the preview tickets. My mom can get them ad usually takes me and some of her customers to the show but this year her boy friend, the one with 90+ cars, bought me two tickets to go with someone. There were no kids there under the age of like 18 so it was great. You still had idiots walking in front of you while you took pictures but they were rich idiots and not your average Joe idiots (removed)...I was VERY disappointed that Dodge didn't have the Challenger there again that was the one car I actually could not wait to see. I have been having dreams about that car now for a while so if they do decide to make it I'm going to work my (removed) off to try and get one.

Oh ok sounds good. I might go again during the public viewing just so I can look at the cars. I had to go to work after the preshow yesterday so I just kinda shot through, took pictures and I didn't really get to enjoy the cars.

The Ferrarri's are just plain ugly. Kinda seem like a disgrace.Honesty, I think the Vibe is a pretty weak showing as well. Quite underwhelming.

The Ferraris make me happy the new 599 isn't like their normal race inspirsed car but I still think it's sharp looking.

We finally get to see those horribly expensive chrome wheels on a Vibe... how about that? They look as horrid as I thought they would.

Pontiac will get it when US companies start making more appealing cars with power and V8s....oh wait....I don't think thatll ever happen.

Ok, so my 2 cents: Scion and DUB are out of control. They need to be stiffled and contained on some island in the South Pacific. Nothing irks me more about cars than DUB, huge rims and rubber-band tires.Rediculous.

(removed)! What's your opinion on DUB and Scion? j/k I HATE DUB with a passion myself, I'm glad someone else feels the same way I do about them. I'm never one to complain about a car's practicality because that is not an issue with me, but DUB is rediculously far fetched and you wouldn't even be able to drive any of those Tonka toys on any street in the US without causing $20,000 worth of damage on one 5 minute road-trip. I do like Scions though. There are allways 500,000 different ones at carshows done up but I think out of EVERY single car manufacturer, Scion has the best marketing, to be able to modify them to the max and actually sell the performance parts at the dealers...no other company has the guts to do that with the except of maybe Nissan and their small line of dealership sold parts (Nismo), and it's a shame.

This thing is rediculously fugly (IMHO!). I mean, what's the point in ricing out a SHOEBOX pushed by a 103-hp lawnmower engine?!? I guess I've always felt this way and just won't change.

Yeah some are nice others like that one are not so nice I agree. Like you said, they are slower than all hell so they have to make them customizable for individuality and uniqueness otherwise they wouldn't have anything going for them (removed)...

Nice pics some awsome cars. Too bad the Vibe is looking its age and not being developed. I wish the constant facia treatments would stop and a new sharper design would be manufactured. The Vibe is going to be phased out eventually....the GT is gone soon the base Vibe too. Thanks or the pics again.

Ok................. so i would like to know what the second to last car is, b/c it some what looks like a very modified vibe, but i am not sure. ok.. i feel stupid after taking a good look at it and seeing other picture i realized it was a caliber

Yea DUB did a great job hacking that car to death lol....the black color absorbed almost all light and any light left over from the flash was reflected by the rims so that was a VERY hard car to photograph. It's like a black whole in the middle of the Cobo Center's basement lol....It is a Caliber though.

lol @ colonel's scion lB. the tC is the only scion i'd buy. before i got my vibe, i was gonna buy one and put the kaminari kit on it.i agree w/ savedbyzero's "underwhelming" comment. it's sad that pontiac treats their vibes like redheaded stepchildren nice pics merz. if you get that challenger and i still haven't replaced mine, I CALL THE RIMS!!!

(removed), ok you got first dibs but I might keep the Vibe forever and if I get really rich, experienced and have alot of time on my hands I might try and fit a small V8 into it. I still keep having dreams about the Challenger. it is allways in the bright green color of the old ones. So I truely am going to try my hardest to buy a green one when and if they come out to the public....that is of course if they don't average-Joe it like they did with the new Mustangs. Don't get me wrong I like the new Mustangs but they hardly even remotely look like the concept did when it came out.

yeah you're right about the mustangs. my fav part of the concept was the speedo n tach, that shtuff was crazy. i wonder if there's ever been a production that kept at least 79% of it's concept design.i've got a buncha pics of the evo X concept, inside and out, and i can guarantee it won't be anything like that when it hits the assembly line
