This is one of the most beautiful and well done cars out there. immaculate and clean, well loved and cared for, protuned at PDXtuning in Portland, Oregon, personal friend of both Mav and I. Anyone who knows anyone who might be interested, this is just an awesome car, already done up and tuned, hella freaking (scary) fast. He's planning to do a different "project" car and this sits in his 6 car garage. Located in Anchorage, AK, but for a true collector, this is WELL WORTH the trek! in the weather here, power band and torque would probably get this bad boy to 400 AWHP easily. For Sale 2004 Subaru STI WRB. 15,500 miles. we would, but part of the enjoyment is doing it yourself. anything and everything that he'd even DREAM of doing to an STI has already been done to this. otherwise, we would greatly consider it as we know it's been well maintained, installed, tuned, etc by the premier pro tune shop in the NW

Hope, go ahead and buy the car for mav, if it has everything he wants in it, might as well. What fun is spending eleventeen thousand gazillion dollars on a car and then having to wait long periods of time to get the extra cash to mod the stupid thing, and only getting to add one thing at a time?

Posted: Thu Jan 11, 2007 2:12 am
by AKLGT
nope. i already asked him and he says he wants to do his own modding on his own car. *shrug*it's an awesome deal (on this car).as for racing a stealth bomber, i want to see your friend's bomber. there is another guy with a viper here that i'd love to see this car run. hell, i want to see this car run at the track! he did take it autocrossing with us once.

Mav likes the STI's. i'm not a huge fan of the look and ginormous wing. if not for the new LGT's, i'd have gone a different route on the car. I love my LGT classic and professional look, wanted to move away from the "rice rocket" like i had w/ my VGT. Now that we're opening our own business, I want it to look good. plus, i have all the STI parts going into my LGT sitting in the garage now. Once i do the conversion, just about anything you can do w/ the STI i'll be able to do w/ the LGT and still be auto for the daily driving ease. downside, i can't do too much since i'm going to be driving A LOT more (even more than i do now).

good point, That car is only as fast as the rush hour traffic around it is the interior stock? those blue seats and carpet are an awesome colorOT: BTW, good luck with your business

in my opinion, the interior looks cheap like a cavalier's.

no I want my own STi... as mentioned because I want to do things myself to the car at my pace. The only way I'd consider that car would be if I wanted a finished project. I don't want a finished project, I want a project. Buying his car would be like buying a model car thats already pieced together and painted the colour you wanted. Pointless. This is a great car for people who want the bang right out of the box. Its a beast. And there are plenty of things I can to do the STi when I get it to keep it as fast as Hope's LGT hehe...

Quote, originally posted by drunkenmaxx »in my opinion, the interior looks cheap like a cavalier's.Why yes, it does have that mid 90's econobox look to it. It's a mighty clean interior and the blue is purdy but the rest of it, I dunno. I don't think the interior matched up well with the price of admission that you had to pay to get one of those when it was new. But hey, what's it matter, you've got 400 HP, so you won't be seeing it long... The interior will be covered in blood and guts before you know it. jmho of course. hehehe!

yeah the interior (dash and all) was a little... "plain" for a $30k carbut I do like the blue

if you want to see a plain boring interior... take a look at the evo. IMO its ugly. I find the STi interior cozy in comparison.

by AKLGT
LOL. well, it's not 400 hp car, more like 500 hp car (at the crank). 400 to all 4 wheels is not the same as to the crank. when we say it's a beast, it literally is. i really can't imagine having that much power as a daily driver. plus, his clutch is a 2 stage clutch, very difficult to get used to.

Yeah, the evo's interior sucks too from what I've seen of it.What's up with the pepto pink thingies on the end of the strut tower brace? I just noticed those. So that means it's from sti? Those are hot! And hope, sorry I stand corrected! You can kill yourself even faster!

yep, the pink is the standard JDM STI thing.. don't know why they chose pink.. not a big fan. LOLbut the car is still amazing!

And the two pepto pink sti logo things on the front bumper and the one pepto pink sti emblem in the grille... yuck. Apparently pink is more manly of a color than I thought! I guess they wanted something that would stand out... but wouldn't a silver, or red or something stand out? hell, why not the gold like what is on those sporty wheels?

the pink is deep rooted in racing tradition. the drivers would down pepto bismol to keep from crapping themselves as they realized they just totalled their brand new $30K car.

obviously rally cars aren't stock cars. and when Subaru takes 1-2-3 in the world rally championship, they must be doing something right and their drivers are just BAD (removed)! lolpink or not... those guys are crazy!

so, the stock STIs don't have STI in pink anywhere? is that what you are trying to tell me?i can't imagine spending $60k on one of those!

I'd buy a Vette for that much... and it's not pink I think they mean a race-ready Rally JDM STI is worth 60k (pink included )A regular old WRX STI is around 30kBut there's no telling how much money is dumped into the one this guy is selling for 29k

it's much less than a new STI. new STI will run about $32-36k depending on options.i don't know of any other AWD 4 door sedan/car you could purchase with this much power for $29K. and actually, all that crap doesn't lower the value of the car, it just takes it out of the average person's budget or wants. This car is for an enthusiast or rally racer (that's what it's set up for). NADA shows retail would be $25,500 totally stock. so $3500 for about $15000 in parts, tuning, labor, etc is a pretty good price.obviously, this car is NOT for the average joe.

Considering the wreck was caught on video and you can see the guy's arm out the window as it flipped over several times... LUCKY!What the heck did you do Lancer? Looks like the right rear rim is ok.
