It's how they try to bypass spam filters. Fill it with garbage, though grammatically correct garbage, and the spam filters will often think it's legit.

Last month I got a variation of the Nigerian bank transfer scam, only this time supposedly it was Pinochet's doctor. It was maybe just a week after Pinochet died. These guys are getting quick.

I get the ones from "e-bay" and "pay-pal" alot. I started forwarding them to the real e-bay and paypal, and the companies are very happy to get them. I know it doesn't help much, but it makes me feel better.I wonder how much money people make off those? (mainly the perscription drugs ones). I mean, I understand it costs them next to nothing to e-mail a few million people, and they only need a few people to bite to actually make money.... but I wonder about the statistics of it all....
