Ipod and XM help for a new owner

I recently purchased a pre-owned 2005 Pontiac Vibe, and I must say I'm lovin' it. Everything is perfect from the mechanics to the paint job, only problem is I haven't a clue where the audio equipment is mounted in the car, and I have no owner's manual (replacement is on the way).So heres my scenario, the car has a factory installed Moons and Tunes, and XM radio, and I am looking to install an Ipod adapter. I have no documentation on what brand the XM unit is. All I have to go off is a small black box under the passenger side dash that was made by Delphi. I've looked at most Delphi unit manuals, and I cannot determine what I have. I know some units have a 6-CD changer input on them, and some Ipod adapters will replace the 6-CD changer. So here's my question. Where is the XM unit usually mounted if its factory installed? And if its behind the radio, how do I safely remove the radio to get to it?

The black box is the amplifier for the moon and tunes option.Any GM car from the factory will have a Delphi-branded XM tuner. No doubt about it. You're not going to find any manual specific to the receiver. Anything you need to know will be provided in the car's manual. The receiving unit is located in the hatch area of the car behind one of the interior panels. It's not easy to get to, and gaining access to it won't provide you any more information then i already have.

I've been doing more research, and I still have no real clue what to exactly do right now. I guess my real question is: Is an Ipod adapter an option without having to hook up an iPod without some fancy soldering or a FM Modulator since I have the factory XM, but no 6-CD changer. Sorry for yet another Ipod topic
