I saw this on MatrixVibe.net
http://www.matrixvibe.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1631 and was interested. Anyone else have any experience with replacing their seats with leather? How much does the installer charge?

That's sweet. If I had leather, I wouldn't need the waterproof seat cover in the back seats to protect against the girls crumbly choco. chip muffins.

This has REALLY caught my interest.... like others here, I'd like to know what an installer would charge, and where to find an installer. - Earl

I saw a quote of $300 out in CT, but I'm sure it varies by location. The seats themselves are custom and cost around $550.

quote:That isnt too bad, but then you will have to get the side panels of the doors coverd in leater too, more money. The only leather I want in the Vibe is a leather steering wheel and shifter knob. The matrix comes in leather, figures.Actually I checked with the seller, and the kit does come with the door panels and that's included in the price and install quote. Seems that all the bases are coverd for around $800-900.

curious if anyone has had their interior replaced with leather. i've contacted the seller (james with Attention To Detail at
attention@snet.net; address from the matrixvibe.net) with my zip code for a list of installers, but haven't moved forward with finding installation prices yet. he replied within a few hours (i wrote on a weekend), and seemed to be good to work with (visit matrixvibe.net for their discussion). the price deal ($550 for total leather in front, leather seating surfaces and high-quality vinyl for rest of the areas in back; $85 more, i think, for total leather; suede inserts, like in the GXP, are also available) is good until the end of march. for anyone with leather interior, how was your experience with the entire process?

I'm not a big fan of leather seats, but the Pontiac seats look really good! For $800-$900 for the whole set, it might be something to consider in the future.

My friend just put leather in his wife's Vibe and it cost him about $900 US total. Man it looks killer in his Vibe. He has a shadow Vibe and went with Super dark grey almost black leather. It included all the seats and the front door panels and installation. I don't know if I will do it since it's so hot down here in Florida but it sure does look great. If I do it though I will have them embroidure the word Vibe and the Pontiac logo on it and it will be two tone ( dark on the outer and light grey down the center.)

Wish I could see some "installed" pics before I decide if I want to spend that much money. It sure might be worth it.

That does look nice. I wish they offered leather. That is the first thing I asked the dealer when I ordered mine in October. Oh well...
