These were found on the street under where the front of my car was parked.

Like the title says, these were found on the street under where the front of my car was parked. I have no idea if they are from my car or if they were just put there or what. While I was out I could have sworn something felt or maybe even sounded funny, like a slight grinding sound/feeling coming from the front of the car, so that has made me even more paranoid. I don't plan to go anywhere for a while, so if anyone has ANY idea on whether or not these are from my car or if they are even from a car like ours, please let me know!

It is hard to tell what they are. Are they bearings? or some kind of washer?

Probably a stupid question, but does any part of you airbag kit have bearings? Probably not, but I though I'd ask. Did you hear the grinding noise before or after you found the bearings?

I have more pics that I took with my digi-cam, but I have to upload them to PB.

I think you are safe. If they did come out of your car, what ever they were installed on is trashed. the rod that they should be on is broke in two if they are laying on the street. I can not think of anything that would use then since they are packed in grease and all the external barrings on our car of that type are sealed.

I found a bearing just like those when that guy wrecked my front end. I believe they do go the front end some wjere. Have you driven your car since then? I wonder if there was a wreck there, before you parked there.

roller-blade bearings was my first thought... same as skateboard I guess. But that is what they look like.

They are not skateboard bearings. Was there a particular spot under the car where they were found ie,drivers front tire area. They look like something for the suspension, seeing they are packed in grease. How big are they by the way.

I drove my car all over during that day they were found. Suspension is unlikely as I have air-bags, but still possible. Everything functioned normally aside from the slight grinding sound/feeling I described earlier. I have not gone out to look under the car. I have no idea where they were in location the the car, my mother-in-law just said, "under where the front of my car was when it was parked."

When I wrecked mine that same bearing was on the ground. If I were you, I would jack-up the front end and yank on the wheel and try to turn it. since I don't know if it was a suspension or a driveshaft bearing. my whole passenger side front suspension and driveshaft had to be replaced.

You wouldn't happen to know exactly where to look or what to look for would you?

More pics are loaded from a few minutes ago outside in the sun. If you click on them, then click on them again on the next page, a small window will come up with just the pic and you can zoom in a little too.http://smg.photobucket.com/alb.../misc/

I stand corrected. they aren't skate board bearings. jack up the front end, remove the tires and start moving things around.

I wonder if they might be A-arm bearings or something?

Those are too small to be in the driveline. The wierd thing is that they seem fresh and really goey. They almost look like bushings of some kind, like tie rod end bearings.I looked on my ride and can't find anything that resembles them.If it was April,I would think your pulling a prank on us.LOL

They also look pretty new and unabused. I looked around my car at everything I could see without crawling underneath it and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Still plan to get under there just to be safe and look for anything out of place.

Bearings are on shafts, rods, axles ect. Most of the time to remove them you have to take apart alot of other things to get to them. No other parts laying there or parts missing off your ride? Maybe someone sees you working on your Vibe all the time and put them there to mess with you.

Hard to say. STILL haven't gotten under there as I was at the San Diego International Auto Show all day and just got home. There wasn't any other parts or pieces that I know of. I'm REALLY thinking they're not from my car, but until i get out there and check it out it will sit.

They have smooth outer rings, that usually means that they insert into rubber wheels. They don't look like car parts, look more like shopping cart wheel bearings. Are there ANY codes or numbers on them? If not, then they definitely did not come off your car. Everything OEM on the car has a some code stamped on them.
