Injen or cosmo Cai

I'm ready to finally get a cai.Now I've read a bunch of posts in regards to fitment with the cosmo intake.I have a base 04.I know mavrik recommended the injen,so I trust his judgement but the price makes me wonder, but I know you get what you pay for.The other problem is that I live in Ontario where we have to do an emission test every few years and do not want to take it off every time I do a test, nor do I want it to fail.So some input would be great seeing that I have the money now and it's burning a hole in my pocket.

Injen you can find some good prices out there if you look hard. I didn't but got mine in a group buy. Fit right in nice. Its polished to which was a look I was going for. Blue or red just didn't fit my colour scheme. However the cosmo one for the 04 didn't have fitment problems that I know of because of the older throttle design.

Get the Cosmo, I've had 2 and recommend them highly. The price is right and you'll have it in 2-3 days from Montreal.. No problem with the E-test, it does not effect emissions.

I have the Injen and I ended up buying the AEM Dry-Flow Synthetic Filter for it. I'd definetely but that filter but if you buy the Injen you'll have a decent filter for a while. If you get the Cosmo, since you saved a bunch of money, I'd buy that filter right away. Only clean it every 30k miles and there's no gunky crappy oil.

So is the price difference worth it? I know a Cosmo intake is only something like 108, while the injen are a conciderable amount more (assuming they are bough direct, not 3rd party). Would it be better to go with quality or is it like a strut bar where to a point you are paying for the name over the product?Petrucci - I don't recall seeing you on here before, yet you obviously have beena viber alot longer than me. Have you been hiding out these last 6 or so months?

In my opinion, you are buying a name. The performance will be the same. The only issue with the Cosmo is the filter is tight against the back of the foglight. I just cut about 1 1/2-2" off the filter end of the pipe and it fits perfectly. Use the extra $100.00+ you save to go towards buying some Tein S-Tech springs.

I got the s techs already .I'm from Verdun,so I like working with local companies.I was a little worried about fitment.I seached it and there was mixed reviews of the cosmo. The biggest factor was the emission test, some intakes are not carb compliant so I wanted to make sure.Don't want to fail
