New (to me) Vibe Owner :)

Hi everyone!Picked up my Vibe yesterday. 03 base automatic. Silver, 57k. Picked up at a Chevy dealer in Youngstown, OH for about $9k.I live in Pittsburgh, so it's about an hour and a half drive. There were NO Vibes listed for sale around Pittsburgh for under $11k. Closest one other than this was still over an hour away. Same price and color but had 10k more miles on it and was completely base. No options at all that I could see.So, I think I made a decent deal (tell me it was, even if it's not cuz I don't wanna know, lol).I'll post some pics as soon as I get a moment. But, as far as I can tell, it's stock with some power options (PW,PL, Sunroof), alloy wheels. So, I'm sure you've seen the same car a hundred times

Thanks.I have to calculate my mileage so far. But, it's about 75 miles from the dealership to home. I'd say about 80% highway. Movement of the gas guage (which they were kind enough to set at full for me before I left) was barely noticable. I'll admit, after driving a 5sp Ford Aspire for the last year, and a Festiva before that, I had concerns about mileage. But, I was getting tired of driving a stick in town. And, amazingly, the auto Vibe was rated at about the same as an auto Aspire for mileage. The Vibe is a LOT more substantial than the Aspire. I can't really complain about the Aspire. It has been fine for what it is. Ford/Kia/Mazda did a decent job of making a reliable econobox. But, it's 12 years old and they don't make parts for 'em any more.I've been a fan of the Vibe & Matrix for a couple of years now. Finally got in a position to get one.

Thanks for the welcome!I'm not sure about mods. As I mentioned before, Mileage was a big issue for me so I don't want to do anything that's going to affect that negatively. From what LITTLE I've had a chance to read here, I've been given the impression that a short ram will improve low end power a tad w/o affecting mileage as long as you keep it under 3k. I'm not one to drive overly fast, so, that shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully just give a little more umph for going up hills and such.Beyond that, I haven't had it long enough to get a real impression on the stock components yet. So, we'll see.Only tweak I had in mind at the moment, somebody here posted earlier this year about using a Scion factory radio in the Vibe to add mp3 capability. I saw one listed on Ebay yesterday but it closed before I had a chance to bid on it. I'm seeing if it's still available. It doesn't look like the person who posted that install has been around since, so, I may need to figure out which wiring harnesses he used.

I'm guessing by this post... http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22215that they need an adapter. I'll post a question in the audio forum and find out for sure.
