I am looking for floor mats to put in my Vibe. I want to avoid getting the overpriced stuff from GM ($100 for rubber mats is too much). Does anyone know if Husky or some other aftermarket company makes them?

Indeed, any experience with mats in the VIBE would be appreciated. With the 'put your foot through the floor' problem when starting 5 speed VIBES, the mats have to fit very well.

Th eprices from weathertech are as high as GM. I paid $36.22 for a set of winter Vibe mats from Parts on Line(they sell discounted GM factory parts) They fit great they look great, and you don't have to worry about the clutch because they are made for the Vibe(I have a 5 speed). part #12498110http://

Good question. I chose to use "US Postal Service" and as far as I can see, there is no line item for shipping in my bill? Maybe it was free? I have no idea.FYI: it was $36.22 for the front set and $32.20 for the rear set. Compared to the list prices of $60.49 and $53.77 respectively.

I bought a similar set for my Nissan Xterra. I love them. I can walk around in the snow and mud and get back in and not worry about tracking in junk. Nissan sells that set for $50, and you get all four pieces. Why can't GM do something like that.(see
http://www.xterraparts.com ) I wish Someone would start a "vibeparts.com" site soon.

believe it or not, that "xterraparts" site is the online store front for a nissan dealership in Texas. They just have the foresight to plan ahead and take advantage of the internet. They have access to the same stuff that any dealer would have (manuals/parts #'s/etc) but they sell it at a discount - since its online I guess the overhead is less. Their webpage is really well put together, their customer service is excellent, and their selection is second to none. I am sure GM will follow suit eventually. Its great PR and it makes for happy consumers.

I also have the GM rubber mats. They are well worth the money for the fit and look they have. Very sturdy, thick mats that have very deep channels to trap the water and salt from the winter. I paid $90.10 with tax from the dealership. I wouldn't try anything else simply because they fit so well. The GM rubber mats also have the holes for the anchors on the drivers side. In my Mitsubishi Eclipse, I ordred the replacement carpet mats which there were only two of, and it cost me near the same. The only thing special about them is that the word "Eclipse" was emboidered into them. Talk about not worth the money. They looked good, but really a waste of cash.

i bought mine from wal-mart...they cover most of the floor but are not that stylish...the dealers can really get a little greedy with those mark-ups! they wanted $85.00 for the protector strip in the back!!!! i think i will order online from now on!!

its common practice here to charge "alaska" list. it used to be 20% over "seattle" list, thats what it was when i worked parts. also there only one dealer of a car brand in town, so there is no competition. lots of people here order from dealerships in seattle or the west coast or online.

Does anyone know if Husky or some other aftermarket company makes them?I've got the Weathertech mats in both the front and back seats of my Vibe. The rear mats require a little trimming (they have grooves in them to use as guides), but after a few snips they fit like a charm.

to save on the wear-and-tare of my facotry mats, I just went to Wal-Mart and got a whole set for like 20 dollars that are gray (decent looking too--not to wal-marty looking ) to match the interior....I don't mind abusing them because I can always just toss them out after awhile.
