I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!!!

This may be the first Christmas that we, here in the Twin Cities Metro Area do not have snow on the ground since records have been kept(100+yrs.). It is just not the same without snow. We might get some on Friday but we are on the northern edge of a storm that that is too close to call. We are breaking a record today for the latest date without at least 1/2" snow on the ground. Although the 50°F temp a couple days ago was nice. It's time for Snow, Dammit! It's depressing. I'm seriously dreaming of a white Christmas!!!Anyone want to Fedex me some snow?? lol.

Hopefully it comes far enough north so we can get some.Normally 16+/-" have fallen by now. The Great Halloween Blizzard of 1991 we had over 61" on the ground. Halloween was pretty much cancelled that year. lol.

I too miss snow, living in N. Michigan my whole life, and then moving to NC (and south NC at that), I miss it. I think we got one frost this year, and it's been in the 70's all week this week. The warm weather is nice to have, but I miss the snow sometimes.

I have a much stricter defintion of a White Christmas. While snow already on the ground for Christmas is nice, to truly qualify as a White Christmas in my book the snow has to be falling at some point during the day.

Doesn't make it feel like christmas at all. Forecasters say they doubt that we'll have a white christmas but I try not to believe in what they say since it seems it changes every minute of the day, plus if I want my forecast I just look out the window or go outside to test the temp. myself..lol. Even a half inch or an inch would be nice....hate to have a blizzard though on Christmas b/c driving back and forth from family to family wouldn't be the greatest

Same here in SD Brian. Although it has been raining non-stop since last night, and this morning it was just starting to get slushy....it's supposed to freeze at some point during the day, which will make life fun after work. Prying my way in to my car, waiting for it to thaw....then very dicey icy road conditions. *sigh* Why couldn't it just SNOW?

Although no snow in Mich like the others have mentioned, I really do not miss it. Yes it does not feel right but when you have to travel in it to visit others, it is a real pain. Like in Denver now! But when it does come both of my snowthrowers are ready for battle! I hate it that much I have 2 machines!

I think the kind folks in Colorado would be happy to give you some. 1990 was the last time Seattle had snow on Christmas, and has only happened 5 times in sense they started recording here.I want a white Christmas too.

I hope we get at least a bit of snow before Monday, otherwise it just won't be right. For everyone who's snowed in, I hope you have a fireplace to hang out in front of.

We're getting rain! It has snowed a grand total of one time this winter, and it does not look promising for Christmas.
