After several days in Adobe Illustrator, I just finished up this piece for my dad. It's his '33 Ford Coupe he just recently finished. All vector, no Photoshop. The actual piece is about 8'x3'. > >

did you use Live trace on the car or just create each color and reflection?but damn very nice!! and its even better since its vector now it can be any size without pixelization.

CS3 beta just came out Friday. Full version due out soon. I've had the opportunity to use and it's amazing! The real car does look just as good! First show out in Sept. was the Ducktail Run (hundreds of cars) it won best in class! The interior is just plain sick! Bigger shows to come!

I've been waiting almost a year for it to drop, since I got my Macbook Pro. It will run natively on the Intel Mac's. I'll finally be able to take advantage of the beast!Jan. 2 I order my new Mac Pro...stoked! Sick setup! Mac Pro for the studio and Macbook Pro for on the go!

for anyone who's not familiar with illustrator, i will tell you, an image like that is simply amazing!sub, did you use a picture of the car as a template or did you just draw it all out on a blank page?

Only some overlay modes and gradients.

As a rule, I usually don't give out my source files. However, I could take a screenshot of the outlined paths if you want.

that looks realy good saved Pardon my ignorance but are the exhaust and all the chrome drawn, too? it looks like the rest of the car is drawn around a picture of the shiny stuff
