Aftermarket power mirrors?

Ok, just picked up a set of aftermarket power mirrors for the Vibe. The mirror themselves are universal, with an adapter plate they get screwed on that fits the Vibe perfect. Sure ya seen these on eBay. My question is about the wiring. From looking at picture of factory mirrors, they only have 3 wires. The new mirrors have 4 wires on a square plug, ,black, brown, white and blue. I assume black to be the universal color for ground. What about the others. The factory wires seem to be blue, white and yellow. So, would I just hook white-white,blue-blue and yellow-brown, then just ground the black? Any help before I blow something up is appreciated. LOL

Did the mirrors come with a guide? Perhaps something explaning what those particular wires do?If you can tell us what the labels on the wires are we can help you try to match it up. Colors are NOT universal.

No wiring diagrams or instructions came with them and the wires have no markings on them. I did see a set like these on the net, but cant find the page again. Maybe if I just knew the wiring for the factory mirrors on the Vibe, I may be able to work the rest out on the aftermarket ones.

Not if you get these with power mirrors, like I have. I'm going to buy the factory connector and attach the new mirror wires to it, that way no cutting of wires. Plug-n-play.

Was wondering if these mirrors have been installed? I need to replace a driver side power mirror. Does anyone have pictures of aftermarket mirrors on a Vibe?

Uh...maybe the extra wire is for the turn signal.I assume your vibe does not have stock turn signals in the mirrors cause mine sure doesn't.So...there is no wire in the door for the fourth input. The wires on the new ones would be ground, control, motor, motor. You will need a DVOM to decipher the oem plug then I would use a 12v drill battery to sort out what the wires on the new mirrors do. I installed car stereo from '85 to '02 I know a little bit about wiring. Good luck!

Me too, the ad looks sweet. I am afraid routing the turn signal leads into the door will be a PIA!
