Washer fluid not working for front wipers...

When I try to use te washer for the the front wipers... nothing happens. You can't even hear the pump going. At first I just thought they were frozen... but it's been warmer so I don't think that's the problem. Is this a common problem, and is there an easy fix? Or is it likely this is somthing that the car will have to be taken in for...

is your back window sprayer working? if not check your fluid level.. possibly empty.. if you can't hear the pump working, have you check the fuse?

Oh I forgot to mention that.... yes the back one is working fine.Do they both share the same fuse? And if they don't how can you tell if it's bad or not?

I know they share the same bottle of winsheild washer reserve. I haven't had an issue with mine to date. Pull the fuse and look closely at the little silver portion inbetween the two posts. If it is not solid it's blown. If it's compleat the fuse isn't the problem.

my 98 vw had a similar problem. the back worked, the front didn't.i came to discover that the way the pump worked was to run 'forward' to pump to the front window and run in 'reverse' to pump to the back window.the split ('Y') had a crack in it so that when i tried to pump forward the fluid would just spray in the engine bay, but when i pumped the back, it worked fine. The crack was to the forward side of the split located just below the pump which was attached to the fluid container.might be your problem?
